Les Fleurs Full Description
A beautiful high street florist in the middle of some of the most fairytale venues in Essex. We provide our couples with bespoke wedding flowers, from the Bridal bouquet down to the tiniest of touches like fresh and dried petal confetti. Upon enquiry we can provide you with a quick and simple draft quote as long as you tell us the flowers & colours you'd like to include along with estimated sizes (for example a large bouquet) and rough quantities, this will give you a guide price to your flowers (the price rarely changes from draft to full quote). Then we can meet for a private consultation, this can be done either in-person or virtually using Skype, Zoom, Google or Facetime. This is where we discuss the ins and outs of your wedding, we also take a 15% securing deposit after your consultation, then we produce you a full quote within 4 weeks, this has detailed descriptions of your ordered items, including flower cultivars and reference images, sometimes it's necessary for us to include sketches also. We also offer 'Florist Choice' wedding packages, these can be ordered on our website or by phone but you can also use these as a starting point for our bespoke wedding services. Our packages are designed for Brides who are unsure of which flowers to choose for their big day or who maybe love all flowers and don't want to pick any in particular. Just choose a primary and secondary colour, style and any extras you'd like and there you go- one less thing to worry about whilst planning for your big day! Our aim at Les Fleurs is to make choosing & ordering wedding flowers as simple and easy as possible. As we (Emily & Luke- Senior Florist & Owner) are an engaged couple ourselves & whilst every other aspect of wedding planning baffles us, the one thing we understand better than most Brides & Grooms to be is Flowers! We want to pass on that understanding to our couples, helping them make the best flower choice for them & their big day.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Sept 2019, Hedingham Castle, the couple had both the Castle & the Marquee, the entire wedding from the venue to the flowers even the Bride's dress were just absolutely stunning!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

English Garden, Quirky, Rustic, Simple Elegance and Naturalistic

What about your business are you most proud of?

We're a couple led, Family Business and we're able to support other small family businesses through our own.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Choose your colour palette & style/theme as soon as possible, the flowers, venue, dress, hair & makeup, food can all follow the same theme that way.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A couple having two weddings, a traditional Chinese wedding in China and a fairytale English wedding in England, had photos of their Chinese wedding on each table and on the gift table, it was nice to have the Traditions of both families really shine through.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

From your enquiry we will usually email back and forth a little to get enough information to create you a draft quote, once you've had a private consultation we'll produce a full quote for you we'll usually meet again once or twice and keep in touch via email & a personalised wedding flower secret pinterest board all before the big day. On the day Emily (our senior florist & Owner) will meet with the bride first handing over the bouquets and other personal flowers before heading to the groom, all the while our other florists and Luke (Owner) will be setting up the venue flowers. Then we quickly get out of your hair so you can enjoy every second of your fabulous day!

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Whilst I'd love to say Protea or Lotus pods (which we have done) my personal pick would have to be locally grown Peonies, we use a beautiful farm in White Colne (around 10-15mins from our shop) who truly grow the best peonies during their short season. There's something so special about local flowers.

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

Whilst I do love a bit of floriography I always encourage couples to find their own meaning in flowers, is there a sentimental attachment, is there a flower that represents a relative or one they're simply drawn to, in the end those are the flowers that will mean the most.

What is the most romantic flower and why?

The traditional Garden Rose, just on scent alone. Not only are they gorgeous in all varieties but the smell is something so divine.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

I do encourage my couples to use their flowers again and again throughout the day but the best thing to do with flowers such as table centres is to give them away, close family and friends adore them we even provide sleeves upon request they can slip them into, for bridesmaid bouquets we offer small 'to keep' vases which they can take home with them & for the Bridal bouquet and Grooms Boutonniere there are so many options now for dry preserving.
