Relaxed, delicate, chic, fun and personalised!
We love that we can offer our couples their complete look, and like to think we always go that extra mile so that everything is perfect - even those tiny tiny details that hardly anyone might notice. We know it's the little things that add up to the big things.
Learn how to use Excel! It's boring but it really does help you budget.
We love it when couples write their own vows, we can't resist a good love story.
After we know the date, place and time of the wedding, as a first step we usually ask couples to send us their Pinterest boards, or even a few pictures of the 'look' they want for their wedding. Then, working from this, we build them a mood board that reflects their personal style. This includes loads of pictures, broken down by each section, and approximate costings. There's sometimes a bit of back and forth where couples will add extra bits they've found in the meantime, and then we send over a formal quote so they can get an idea of cost.
Oh, tough question! We actually really like different textures - so things like feathers and cotton flower heads we love.
We love Lily of the Valley. It's so delicate and pretty, and it means 'the return of happiness' - perfect for the coming together of two people.
It has to be a rose. It's so classic. It's mentioned by Shakespeare himself after all. For us garden roses, like the David Austen varieties, are the queen of all flowers. Beautifully scented and made up of about 1000 ruffled petals, they couldn't get prettier if they tried.
We always try and arrange our flowers so that they last for the main event. We can offer our arrangements in take-home vases or vessels for an extra cost.
Lots of couples forget about their bouquet once the partying starts but it's a good idea to put someone in charge of sticking it in some water, that way it'll last for the days afterwards as a lovely reminder of your wedding.
Sorry, we're going on a bit here, but we've also recently discovered flower hammering, which we're keen to try with some of our bouquets. You basically hammer the flowers onto absorbent paper and it leaves a faint trace of the colour and shape. How gorgeous would that be to frame as a keepsake?
There are of course companies who specialise in bouquet preservation or painting - and we can advise on those if you'd like.
