What is your most memorable wedding?
One of the most memorable weddings I've been a part of was when the bride insisted on having her beloved horse present. As her cherished pet, she wanted to capture precious moments together in photos. Witnessing the bond between the bride and her horse was magical. The horse, adorned with floral accents, gracefully walked alongside the bride, charming guests and creating cherished memories. It reminded us of the importance of personal touches in weddings and celebrating what matters most to the couple. Seeing the love and connection between the bride, her horse, and her partner left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. It was a wedding filled with laughter, love, and the magic of bringing dreams to life.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My number one wedding planning tip for couples is to embrace the journey together and enjoy every moment of the planning process. While planning a wedding can be overwhelming at times, it's important to remember the reason behind it all: your love for each other. Take time to cherish the little moments, celebrate each milestone, and laugh through any challenges that may arise. By staying focused on the love you share and the excitement of starting your new life together, you'll create a wedding day filled with joy, meaning, and unforgettable memories.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The idea of tying a monkey teddy to a balloon and sending it into space to capture a photo is truly one-of-a-kind. It's a whimsical and adventurous gesture that perfectly reflects the couple's fun-loving spirit and their willingness to think outside the box. This unique touch undoubtedly left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance and created a magical moment that will be talked about for years to come. Such an extraordinary and delightful memory!

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
Definitely cut-offs from the bride's dress! It was such a unique and personal touch that added an extra layer of sentimentality to the bouquet. Incorporating elements from the bride's dress not only tied the bouquet to her attire but also infused it with a special significance that made it truly one-of-a-kind. It was a creative and meaningful addition that perfectly captured the essence of the bride's style and personality, making her bouquet even more memorable and extraordinary.
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
Absolutely! One flower that I often recommend for couples is the rose. Not only is the rose a timeless and romantic choice, but it also carries a rich symbolism that makes it perfect for weddings. The rose symbolizes love, passion, and beauty, making it an ideal flower to represent the deep connection and affection between couples. Additionally, different colors of roses convey specific meanings, allowing couples to personalize their floral arrangements based on their own unique love story. Whether it's classic red roses to symbolize deep love, pink roses for admiration and appreciation, or white roses for purity and new beginnings, the rose offers endless possibilities for creating meaningful and symbolic wedding florals.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
In my opinion, one of the most romantic flowers is the peony. Peonies are known for their lush, full blooms and soft, delicate petals, which exude a sense of romance and elegance. Their sweet fragrance adds to their allure, creating an enchanting ambiance wherever they're used. Additionally, peonies are often associated with love, prosperity, and good fortune, making them a popular choice for weddings and other romantic occasions. The way peonies gracefully unfold and reveal their layers of petals is reminiscent of love blossoming and unfolding over time, making them the perfect symbol of romance and devotion. The only down side is that they have a short season but Julie always tries to keep brides happy and gives them alternatives.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
After the wedding, there are thoughtful ways to repurpose or preserve your wedding flowers:
1. Preserve your bouquet: Consider drying or pressing some of the flowers from your bouquet to create a lasting memento of your special day. You can display the dried flowers in a shadow box, frame them, or incorporate them into other keepsakes.
2. Donate to a nursing home: Brighten someone else's day by donating your wedding flowers to a local nursing home or hospital. Fresh flowers can bring joy and comfort to patients and residents, spreading happiness beyond your wedding day.
3. Gift to family and friends: Share the love by gifting your wedding flowers to family and friends. You can give individual blooms or small arrangements as tokens of appreciation for their support and presence on your big day.
4. Repurpose as home decor: Incorporate your wedding flowers into your home decor to enjoy their beauty long after the wedding. Place them in vases around your home, create a dried flower arrangement, or even use petals to make potpourri.
5. Compost: Once your flowers have served their purpose, consider composting them to return nutrients to the soil. This eco-friendly option allows you to give back to the earth while also disposing of your flowers in a sustainable way.
6. Place on a loved one’s grave
Sharing your day thoughts with the ones that are no longer with us.
Whatever you choose to do with your wedding flowers, the important thing is to find a way to cherish the memories they hold and continue to spread joy and beauty beyond your wedding day.
