Glorious spring wedding flowers of our dreams

We can't thank Ash enough for the absolutely glorious wedding flowers she did for our spring wedding at Lancrigg. Our flowers were a riot of colour which is exactly what we wanted. They were also locally grown, seasonal and sustainably sourced which was very important to us. Ash is so talented and her passion for floristry shines through. Every interaction we've had with Ash from first meeting at the Lake District wedding fair to the discovery call, planning meetings (in person and online) has been extremely positive, full of energy and advice. Lots of our arrangements were repurposed throughout the day to maximise them and Ash was great at suggesting ways to do this. For as long as I can remember I've always dreamed of having a milk churn arrangement and it looked amazing. Ash also went above and beyond making a last minute trip to collect packaging so that our flowers could be safely transported for preservation as well as designing and making bespoke corsages to match the outfits of my mum, mother-in-law and sister-in-law. The flowers will live on forever in photos and in real life as the bridal bouquet is being dried and pressed and additional flowers preserved in resin. Thank you Ash. Dr & Mrs Watkins

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, romantic, elegant, seasonal and sustainable

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Once we have received your enquiry, we will be in touch to arrange an initial consultation, either face to face or via zoom. During the initial consultation, we will talk through everything from colour palettes, floral choices, seasonality and any specific requirements you may have for your wedding florals. We love getting to know you during this consultation too! This allows us to better understand your interests, inspirations and the things you both love, and from there, create a really personal design proposal for your wedding day.

Following the initial consultation, we will send an initial design proposal and costing. If you are happy to proceed, you will need to secure your booking with a deposit.

Once your deposit has been received, we will then begin working on a detailed, floral proposal and mood board. When this is complete, this will be shared with you so that you can see your floral designs and discuss any final tweaks that you would like to make.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Lots of lovely autumnal berries and dried poppy heads

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

Any flower that holds meaning for you! Be that because it evokes a particular memory of either a person, place or event, or that you just love it!

What is the most romantic flower and why?

I think, when being used in a wedding arrangement, it's hard for any flower to not be romantic!

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

I highly recommend saving a few from your bouquet or buttonhole and either drying them (by hanging them upside down in a warm, dry space, away from windows or radiators) or pressing them, so that you can have them as a precious keepsake. If you like this idea but aren't confident doing this yourself, there are lots of companies out there now that can do this for you - but make sure you've organised this well before your big day as you'll need to send them off ASAP.
