FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Oo! Could I even pick just one?! I am so lucky to have created designs for so many amazing weddings, it would be impossible to choose! We love something that really pushes our creative boundaries, so something that we haven't done before or a colour scheme we haven't worked with is always great.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Creative, Eye-catching, Unique, Personal, Friendly

What about your business are you most proud of?

The way my business has grown in the last few years, the lovely feedback I have from customers, providing flowers for HM Queen and celebrities, being awarded with South West Wedding Florist of the Year. It's all just been an amazing journey and there is so much more I still want to do.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Book to see your florist in plenty of time and when you meet, try and take ideas of things you've seen and love.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I once saw each place name had a personal message to the guest - it was a thank you or a funny memory. It must have taken the couple some time but it made each person appreciated.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We normally meet with couples 12 months before the wedding. We go through ideas and then I send a quote across. If couples are happy with the quote (I'm always happy to tweek it!), then we ask for a £100 deposit to secure the wedding date. Wenthen meet with the couple again about eight weeks before the wedding to finalise details. We often speak with couples in between these times and am always available on the phone or by email.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Its always nice to have something personal or sentimental to put in a bouquet, I have wrapped a Brides bouquet in her Grandad's scarf, and included a Grandmother's locket in another. It just little ideas that make your flowers even more memorable.

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

I always ask a Bride if there is a favourite flower they would like to include in their bouquet. It may be their Mums favourite flower, or something their Grandma carried on their wedding day. I think flower symbolism is personal.

What is the most romantic flower and why?

Ooo! The obvious choice is a red rose, but I think the most beautiful are lily of the valley. They are such a delicate flower and one of the few that are best in their season.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

There are lots of options! Some Brides have had bouquets pressed or preserved, which is a lovely idea. We now set flowers into resin, which is lovely. Table decorations are normally taken by guests, which is a lovely reminder for them of the wedding day.
