Fran at Limewood created my wedding flowers after I was introduced to her quite late on in my planning. I'd had a pretty bad experience with another florist and I cannot emphasise enough what a great decision it was to choose Fran to take over.
My friends who had got married before me told me quite how important the 'right' florist would be in this process, and they couldn't have been more right. Fran was unstoppable; she was excited to try something different (I wanted tropical palm foliage, monstera leaves and anthuriums) and was absolutely determined and genuinely thrilled to bring this vision to life. She was everything I had hoped for: reassuring, calming, creative and super, super conscientious.
As a bit of a control freak myself, I was anxious that someone else might not pay the same attention to detail as me. Wrong - Fran was just my type. She rang me on a Saturday night after I'd sent a rather panicked email about the possibility of rain to tell me hey, no worries, there's a week to go and I've got it covered! She'd pinned some alternatives to our shared Pinterest board - another brilliant idea of hers - and told me to have a look. After the nod from me, she proceeded to create these magnificent metal frames that we could use inside or outside, painted gold by her and decorated in sprays of my favourite leaves and flowers -- a pretty big change to make one week before a wedding but no trouble to Fran.
When I actually came out of my room and saw what Fran had created, I couldn't believe it. it was better than anything I'd envisioned in my head, having thought I was the one with the vision! It was nothing short of incredible. Fran delivered the bouquets to me and scooted off all low-key, so I couldn't tell her how happy I was in person, which meant I drunkenly emailed her at 3am to tell her I couldn't sleep for thinking about how amazing the wedding had looked!
But not to worry - I saw her in the morning, because Fran, like no wedding florist I've seen before, came back to the venue at 9am to dismantle all her hard work from the day before and create bouquets for wedding guests that had stayed over. There's literally nothing more I could have asked for from her (and I would have, if I could have thought of anything!!)
So Fran, thank you SO much for it all. Any other bride out there looking for the perfect flowers (or, you know, tropical foliage) to suit them would be lucky to have you.
