The celebrant hid the ring box under one of the guests seats a random. There was a beautiful moment of confusion, and then excitement as everyone looked under their chair. The point the celebrant was making, was that everyone in the room had a part to play in the narrative of the couple and the common denominator being love. It was such a poignant idea and a lovely way to include every guest in the ceremony.
We start with an informal chat on Zoom. I really like to know more about the couple, how they met, what feels most important to them, even what their first dance will be. We talk through their plans so far, ideas on flowers and colours and what elements they'd like on the day.
I then compose a mood board with those ideas developed, and an itemised quote of each floral element. We might have another chat on Zoom or in person to finalise and amend parts of the design. Once confirmed the couple pay a small deposit to secure their date and we schedule in a day to visit the venue together.
I communicate with the venue and / or the wedding planner to ensure things like logistics, floor plans and risk assessments are all taken care of. I also stay in touch with the couple in the months leading up to the wedding as there are always small changes and amendments. We touch base six weeks before the wedding to run through the itinerary and settle the remaining balance.
