I'm proud that I provide a personal and friendly service for couples and that they feel relaxed and happy with me.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Just try and enjoy it!! Take time out from the planning if it's getting stressful.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love when I'm asked to include personal items into a bouquet, an embroidered ribbon with a loved ones name or a lucky horseshoe from a much loved grandmother. It's lovely when brides can hold their loved ones close when they can't be there.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After your initial enquiry I can arrange a free, no obligation consultation with yourselves. This can take place in a venue of your choice where we can discuss your thoughts, ideas and flowers for your wedding day. I will then provide you with an estimate for your wedding flowers, if you are happy then a small, non refundable deposit will secure your wedding date. I'll be available by email or phone throughout your planning, I will also have another consultation with you closer to your wedding day to run through the flowers for your peace of mind. Then on your wedding day I will deliver and set up the flowers so all you need to do is relax and enjoy your big day!
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
Dahlias are a beautiful flower in a wide range of shapes, sizes and colours, it means 'forever thine', just perfect for a wedding!
What is the most romantic flower and why?
It probably has to be the garden rose for me, it's meaning is 'love', they are in so many different colours and the scent is heavenly!
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Keep them and enjoy them! They will last well after your wedding day so why not give them away to your family and guests. I try to use designs where the flowers can be taken away, I've had some designs used by wedding guests as a Christmas door wreath! You can also preserve your bouquet by individually pressing them and adding to a picture frame, it's up to you they are your flowers!
