Incredible flowers and amazing customer service

We were so incredibly happy with Tabitha's work for our wedding. After speaking to many florists about our vision for our wedding (a Lord of the Rings inspired theme with lots of wispy ethereal florals) we felt that Tabitha was the person who was the clearest with what we could expect as well as truly working out what we would want (and that was just from the quote stage). Working with her was incredibly easy, she was always so quick to reply and discuss ideas; she was always willing to be flexible with what we wanted to do and helped us make decisions as well. We had a magnificent arch as well as each centrepiece being different colours and themes, and our bouquets are so gorgeous they are now displayed in our house as well as my parents and in-laws homes! Honestly couldn't recommend Floradora enough, beautiful flowers (which everyone thought were real and were shocked when they weren't) and incredible customer service as Tabitha is a delight to work with.

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

Most memorable wedding? Possibly one that we did about 12 years ago, It was an "Ocean themed' wedding. It was a massive production involving so many suppliers. Our flowers included masses of blue blooms in every shade possible, it was so much fun to be a part of. The wedding manager and I still talk about it today!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Beautiful, memorable, atmospheric, stunning, abundant

What about your business are you most proud of?

We used to be a fresh flowers wedding business but made a massive decision to change to faux flowers. I am very proud that we are now a sustainable business. I am also very proud of the standard and quality of work that we achieve using very expensive and luxurious blooms.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Be budget savvy, spend your money on the parts of your wedding that your guests will really notice or will remain for eternity in your wedding photos.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

So many to mention but the ones that really move me are the tokens of remembrance for a loved one that has passed away and can't be at the wedding. Pieces of personal jewellery or tiny photos tucked into bridal bouquets, a mention in the order of service, a framed photo somewhere at the venue. All these gestures are so personal and touching.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Typically, the couple will get in touch via phone or email with their venue and date, if this is available we will discuss their initial requirements before scheduling a meeting. Once all options have been talked through, I will create a full proposal for consideration. Then if the client wants to proceed and book the day, they will be sent a booking form that needs to be filled in and returned with a deposit.

Between the time of booking and the big day, the couple are welcome to get in touch to discuss any element of their wedding flowers and make changes.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

It was an Autumn wedding and it was mushrooms!

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

No, I don't really get into the symbolism of flowers as if you look deeply so many of the most gorgeous flowers that we use in weddings symbolise negative emotions. Who would have thought that yellow roses can represent jealousy and greed? Even red roses can get a bad rap in the world of flower symbolism. I would however recommend using flowers that might have a personal meaning the couple.

What is the most romantic flower and why?

I have a romantic flower for all seasons. Soft blossoms are so romantic in spring time. Summer sees the blousy peony come into action. Roses are the staple romantic flower all year round, it sounds boring but there is a reason that they are the most grown flower worldwide. They are simply gorgeous.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

Well, with Floradora, we will collect and dismantle and reuse the flowers for many more weddings to come. Fresh flowers are generally produced by the florist to be at their peak on the day of the wedding and afterwards tend to be past it, especially if the wedding was during the warm summer months. Any flowers that still have life in them and can avoid the trip to the dump can be given to friends and relatives to take home.
