What is your most memorable wedding?
The first wedding I freelanced for had masses of blooms in burgundy, blush and all shades in between! The couple had opted for an ombre design which trailed along a mantlepiece and around an antique mirror. It was breath-taking!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Bespoke. Wild. Wispy. Romantic. Pretty.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud when I create a bouquet which 100% captures the personality and spirit of the couple. I pride myself on being approachable for all of your questions, however silly they may seem, and doing everything I can to make planning your big day as stress free as possible.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be completely honest with your wedding suppliers! Especially about budget, no matter how big or small. If we understand your budget, your style and your vision we can create exactly what you're looking for.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Anything that shows the couple's personality. I love personalised cocktails, street food and music that makes you want to dance!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
The first step is to complete my New Client Questionnaire. This helps give me an idea of what you're looking for and your budget. Then I suggest we meet up to get to know each other and chat about your dream day. I use everything you've told me so far to create a proposal, this contains my bespoke recommendations for your wedding but is fully customisable so you get exactly what you were dreaming of. I ask my couples for a non-refundable booking fee of 10% to secure the date. If everyone is happy, I usually suggest we meet up 2 months prior to the big day to confirm any last minute details. However, I am available throughout the whole process, if you've got some new ideas or want to change something we can do that! It's 100% up to you! On the day, you can relax and enjoy yourself whilst I create your dream florals.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
In college I made a bouquet with apples in it... I suppose it could take off?!!
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
For some couples symbolism is important and for others, less so. As long as you have the flowers you've been dreaming of, that's all that matters!
What is the most romantic flower and why?
I love garden roses and sweet peas because they smell incredible. I also love adding herbs into my bridal bouquets to make them even more special.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
I offer an additional clear up and breakdown service which includes removing all designs, recycling, reusing and composting. Where possible I make the flowers from your arrangements into bouquets for you to take home.
