At Dove & Myrtle, we believe flowers hold the power to create unforgettable memories on your wedding day. Located between Lewes and the sea in East Sussex, our floral design studio specializes in an elevated yet natural style that perfectly suits couples who adore flowers and want a touch of wild romance.
Inspired by secret walled gardens, wild roses, and orchard meadows, our signature designs are timeless and breathtaking. We carefully craft each arrangement to bring the beauty of nature right into your celebration, making your wedding flowers the heart and soul of your day.
Every wedding is unique, and so is our approach. Dove & Myrtle offers a fully bespoke floral design service tailored to your vision—whether you have a clear idea or are just starting to explore. From delicate buttonholes to large-scale floral installations, we handle every detail with care. For smaller or more intimate weddings, we also offer an "Off the Peg Collection" available from May to September. This collection features stunning, locally grown seasonal blooms styled in our signature wild and romantic way.
We love designing for a wide range of venues, including private family homes, marquees, churches, country estates, and vineyards—bringing our passion for flowers to your perfect setting.
This is such a tricky one, every wedding and every couple I work with is so unique and memorable in it's own right. My couples tend to have very distinctive ideas and I love to interpret what they have in mind into stunning displays. I especially love creating installations and wild meadow arrangements, the wilder the better really :)
Untraditional, relaxed, wild, painterly, creative
I am my business and I am most proud of the connections and relationships I have developed both with clients and fellow suppliers since starting Dove & Myrtle. My business was borne from a love of flowers and the wild and I believe that shines through in everything I do
Be yourselves. By that, I mean don't be coerced into planning elements just because you think you should. If you'd rather not... don't. Find the suppliers who will listen and be excited by your ideas. Be brave and feel free to be as creative as you wish, make your own traditions!
Homemade botanical liquers at a tipi wedding last year. The gorgeous bottles and labels were so fitting. Oh.. and pets, always a fan of a doggy guest of honour
I create bespoke wedding flowers so the first stage is a consultation either over the phone or in person depending on what's easiest for the couple. Once I know a bit more about them and their preferred style etc I put together a proposal and quote created especially for them. Once happy, I take a small deposit to secure the date and then we continue the conversation, sharing ideas, meeting at the venue etc right up until the time my final invoice is due. Up until then as many changes can be made as they like so couples feel confident they can book ahead even if they're not 100% decided on certain details such as the final colour palette etc.
I put a lot of what some people may see as "interesting" ingredients into my bouquets! Seedheads, herbs, dried grasses, wild foliage, sweet pea vines.... the list goes on
I love to include rosemary for love & longevity but on the whole I recommend using seasonal blooms. Aside from being the freshest and at their best they will remind you of your wedding day every year when you start to see them blooming in the garden or appearing in displays at your local florist shop
Myrtle, hence the use in my business name alongside my grandmother's name Dove. Myrtle has a rich history as a flower of love and marriage and has played a key part in Greek mythology and royal weddings as well as being the Hebrew symbol for marriage.
I always suggest giving flowers to your guests to take home and enjoy. By all means dry your bouquet should you wish but better still, take some good photos and consider asking someone to create a beautiful illustration for you to frame and enjoy forever... makes a great 1st Anniversary (paper) gift idea.
