What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding is beautiful, and truly one-of-a-kind, making it impossible to single out the most memorable! One unforgettable moment stands out – the day the van got stuck in a field by the marquee! It brings a smile to my face now and serves as a reminder that as florists, we're continuously learning and adapting to unforeseen challenges!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Romantic, timeless, whimsical, elegant, unforgettable
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
When planning your wedding day, focus on what you genuinely want, not what you think others would prefer. Above all, savour and enjoy every moment of the process!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love when friends write a personalised poem as their reading during the ceremony!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We start with an initial consultation to go through all the details, before I send your proposal to you. If you're happy, a deposit is required to secure my services on your date. 8 weeks before your big day we have a final consultation to finalise the details and I send the final balance. Then the wedding day comes around before you know it!!
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
Fir cones! Adding a gorgeous touch of texture for a winter wedding.
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
I suggest roses for weddings due to their timeless symbolism of love, beauty, and romance. The variety of colours allow couples to personalise their choice, adding emotional significance to such a special celebration.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
To me, Delphiniums are one of the most romantic flowers! Their tall and graceful stems, full of stunning flowers, and range of colours, including shades of blue, purple, and pink, add to their romantic allure.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
After your wedding, rather than letting your flowers go to waste, consider repurposing them by gifting them to guests. Personally, I highly recommend preserving your bridal bouquet – it's a lasting memento, whether dried and framed or encased in resin, allowing you to cherish a piece of your wedding flowers forever.
