Briar Rose Design

Me and my now husband used Briar Rose Design (Melanie) for our autumnal wedding in October, and it was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. When we were first looking into florists for our wedding, Briar Rose was one of the first that I had seen, and I found myself constantly comparing every other florist to Melanie’s work. I knew I wanted dried flowers throughout our wedding from the get go to really lean in to our autumn theme, and Melanie’s dried flower portfolio really stood out amongst the others, with their vibrant colours and beautiful wild arrangements. Melanie was fantastic throughout the whole planning process. She was open to any ideas I had, and honest when it came to any idea that wouldn’t work with dried flowers. She was clear about her pricing (which I found very reasonable), and asked for access to my Pinterest board so that we could make sure we were both on the same page to the vision we had. On the week of the wedding, Melanie spoke about our different weather plans (as we were getting married outside), and explained that we would need another plan in case it rains, as dried flowers are very fragile. When it came to the day, the forecast inevitably turned where there was a light mist of rain throughout the entire morning (which thankfully cleared up by ceremony time). Despite this, Melanie assured me it was light enough to still work, and she managed to give us the ceremony we hoped for with our florals outside, even though she got soaking wet in the process! As well as the standard flowers you get for a wedding, I also chose to have a dried half flower crown, for myself and all our bridesmaids. I was so impressed with what Melanie came up with, and have had so many compliments on them, and can’t wait to hopefully wear it again for our wedding after-party. Thank you so much Melanie. You gave us the wedding day we dreamed of, in all its autumnal beauty. We’re so glad we went with dried flowers, as it allows us to admire them for (hopefully) years to come! Briar Rose provided all florals for our wedding up at Carrick Castle Estate that added a special feel to our day and produced lots of audible gasps from guests when they saw Mel's hanging installations! Mel is meticulous in her designs and was happy to personalise different bouquets for our guests, which were gratefully received. Our venue was extremely happy with the foliage and hanging flowers that presented their barn in a new light and provided a background for many stunning photos.

I don’t know where to start to be honest!! We cannot thank Mel enough for making our wedding at The Rhynd look utterly stunning last week! We obviously knew she was going to be fantastic having read nothing but good reviews and word of mouth, but the way her flowers completely changed the look (& atmosphere!) of The Rhynd is so far beyond what we could have imagined. Even just comments in general about the flowers in the venue - our guests couldn’t get over them.

Mel did a wonderful job creating our wedding flowers. They were so beautiful and were everything we hoped for and more!
