A beautiful Brazilian couple who flew the family in to Oxford to witness their wonderful wedding day. They adorned their venue and church in beautiful sweet scented peonies and blush pink roses . Hand drawn pictures of each guest as there table place , instead of there name place.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We have a first initial discussion via email or phone. I can then offer to meet you both at a time and place that's convenient or over a video call if preferred and are distance away.
When we have a plan in place and you are happy to proceed. We take a small booking fee the remaining balances are then due 4 weeks before the big day in full.
We will be in regular contact through email and phone right up to the big day. Sometimes another meeting or video appointment may take place just to confirm and finalise any details or queries you may have and also discuss delivery schedules.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
I have been asked to put many things into a bouquet... They range so much and are usually a personal/symbolic meaning for the couple.
So pictures , broaches , a button, items of jewellery , conkers and even a dogs collar recently.
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
Peonies resembles love and marriage
Red Roses for passion
People often forget the carnation.. this resembles strong love.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
My personal one has to be peonies but roses will always be the top runner for most.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
After the wedding recut the stems are an angle. Place in fresh cold water with a minute/ small dash drop of bleach. If you are having the preserved you will have been given instructions by them on how to transport them.
Some people also take to a loved ones grave after.
Other option is to hand dry them which depending on blooms you can use the old fashioned hanging upside down in a dark dry area. This process can take weeks so be patient and don't fiddle to much with them. What ever you decide enjoy them 😄
