I started my career as an Interior Designer and ran my own business for many years. In 2002 I established the April Showers Floral Design business after extensive training at Capel Manor Horticultural College. I have always had a passion for design and flowers and love the excitement and buzz of meeting prospective brides or event organisers and their family and friends and being part of the planning for the big day. April Showers specialises in Wedding and Celebration flowers and offers you a truly personal and bespoke service creating beautiful and innovative floral designs which completely unique. If you are planning a wedding, we cover it all! Buttonholes and bouquets, church or ceremony flowers, venue decor, and thank you bouquets are all designed and created exactly to your taste. I am always there on the day of the Wedding or Event ensuring that every flower design is perfect, leaving you to relax; confident that your floral decor will look stunning and create the ‘wow’ factor. Flowers make such a tremendous difference and it is important to choose flowers that compliment the surroundings of your wedding and complete the ambiance, whilst reflecting your style and personality, creating memories for years to come. The fragrance of some flowers can be particularly evocative. I offer a free consultation service where we can discuss your individual requirements, talk about your dress, and colour scheme, so that I can get a feel for the style of wedding or event you have in mind. I have an extensive array of portfolios, and flower books you can look through, and I can then design a floral scheme to suit you. A small deposit secures the date, and we liaise right up until the day, with a final meeting a month beforehand.
