A Italianate style May wedding at Iford Manor, in one of the most beautiful gardens I know. Creating flowers for this very special wedding for a lovely couple was memorable.
However, I have worked with many lovely couples and therefore there are many memorable weddings from all different seasons to look back on.
Generous . Seasonal . Natural . Asymmetrical . Thoughtful .
I aim for the best outcome within the budget, and don't count every hour or every stem.
Feel comfortable with your venue and love it. Believe in your suppliers wanting the best outcome for you.
Giving the flowers to the guests to enjoy after the wedding. Lighting with different styles of light is romantic and magical at any time of year.
I meet the couple for an informal consultation to get to know about the kind of ideas they have in mind at the venue or my studio. There is a small charge of £20 for this time, returned if a booking is made.
If couples wish to engage me as their wedding florist, I ask for a £150 non refundable deposit, that is deducted from the final bill. I then email a detailed quote based on our initial consultation.
I will see the venues and often meet the bride again to discuss details if required nearer the time.
I generally only take one wedding per week, so focus fully on the wedding in hand.
I often create the flowers at my brides venue/home.
My cost includes setting up the flowers on the day and collection the following day.
A silver Butterfly - Butterflies represent marital happiness - I brought this for my Bride as a surprise - it was seen only by the Bride.
I often include personal details and objects in the Brides Bouquets.
Every flower has symbolism and I love considering this for bridal bouquets and wedding flowers.
Many flowers are romantic, again the time of year is the greatest consideration.
Anything with scent feels romantic; Lily of the Valley in Spring, Peonies and English Roses in summer.
I absolutely adore Mock Orange blossom in early summer, I have this in my garden for use in wedding flowers at this time of year.
I love Autumn colour and Winter weddings with a lot of light and a natural vibe.
I try to create flowers that can be enjoyed by the brides family after a wedding, and many flowers I use do have a longer life, however wedding flowers are and should be 'On Point' for the wedding, anything after the wedding is a bonus.
Its always possible to save something floral from your wedding, and allow it is dry out and keep.
