I create bright, bold and joyful wedding paintings that capture not only how your day looked, but how it felt.
My paintings are vibrant, expressive and full of contrast. The bright colours feel bright, the darks feel rich, and the finished artwork is designed to catch your eye when you walk into the room. My aim is to create something that gives off the same energy, warmth and happiness as the wedding itself. If this sounds like the kind of artwork you’d love to live with, please get in touch.
I’m based in Skipton, North Yorkshire, and travel throughout Yorkshire and across the UK.
I’m not a traditional or classical wedding painter, and my work isn’t soft, muted or pastel. I work in vibrant colours, high contrast and lots of energy. If you want a painting that feels colourful, contemporary and full of life, something that bursts with joy and becomes a real feature in your home, we could be a brilliant fit.
You can choose to have your painting created live at your wedding, giving your guests the opportunity to watch it develop throughout the celebration, or commission a detailed painting afterwards using your professional photographs.
For a live wedding painting, I arrive before the key moment to set up and begin establishing the venue and background. I then work throughout the day, bringing the couple and their chosen scene to life in acrylic paint. The newlyweds are usually the main focus, framed by a beautifully painted impression of their surroundings. More detailed scenes featuring additional guests can also be included in my larger package.
Watching the artwork take shape gives your guests something unusual and memorable to experience during the reception. Where timings allow, I also love creating the excitement of an evening reveal. However, I’ll never rush a painting simply to finish it on the day. After the wedding, it returns with me to my Skipton studio for the detailed refinement that turns a live painting into a finished piece of artwork.
My live wedding painting packages start from £900. Every package includes planning your scene before the wedding, painting live at your venue, detailed studio completion afterwards, and a finished original canvas supplied signed, varnished and ready to frame.
Post-wedding commissions offer the same personal approach without live painting on the day. They’re ideal if your wedding has already happened, you’d like the painting to be a surprise, or you want me to combine several photographs and memories into one meaningful scene.

If this sounds like it might be right for you, let’s start with a relaxed, no-pressure chat. Send me an enquiry telling me a little about your wedding, including the date, venue, how you picture your painting and any special requests you may have. You’re also welcome to ask me anything or share any concerns. We can talk through the possibilities, see if I’m the right painter for you, and hopefully make a little magic together.
Absolutely! I’ll be there with you on the day for as long as you’d like to book me. Your guests can interact with me as much as they like, and I’ll make sure I’m set up somewhere they can watch the painting develop throughout the celebration.
Depending how long you've booked me for and what moment you're trying to capture, but where timings allow, I’ll aim to reveal the painting before I leave. However, I won’t rush the finished artwork, so I may take it back to my studio to add the final details before arranging delivery.
Let's start with the happy couple! And then, I'm more than happy to focus up to 4-5 other people, such as children or immediate family members.
Prices start from £900 and vary according to location, time at the venue, canvas size and complexity. I recommend a chat early on, and I’ll provide you with a tailored quote.
Bookings can be tailored, with my standard package including up to five hours at the venue.
Absolutely! We'll discuss the preferred view, moment, people and meaningful details beforehand.
Yes, I'm based in Skipton, North Yorks, but available throughout Yorkshire and across the UK, with travel included in the quotation.
Your standard live painting is acrylic on a 16 × 20-inch stretched canvas, with other sizes potentially available by request.
A suitable area where guests can see me working, reasonable lighting and enough space for my easel and materials. I can liaise with the venue beforehand.
I would always encourage couples to enquire as soon as they have their date, particularly for popular summer weekends, but if I can make the date at short-notice, I'll certainly try.
