Quality beats economy every time, so hire the best not just the cheapest or most local.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I do most of my business online, once I have offered a quote for my services, I let the couple go away and compare with other caricaturists. They inevitably come back to me, then we exchange digital contracts and a 20% deposit. I am always happy to answer any queries and offer as much advice as possible, but in general there is no need to meet the couple before the big day.
