Dan is not a caricature artist. Caricature traditionally relies on bold exaggeration of facial features, and he prefers not to take that risk at a wedding. The intention is to ensure every guest feels comfortable and leaves with a drawing they genuinely enjoy. Rather than emphasising exaggerated features, Dan produces friendly cartoon illustrations that remain recognisable while keeping the tone flattering.
Guests do not need to sit formally or pose. Dan spends a short time speaking with each guest and learns something about them — often a hobby, interest, or personal detail. Each finished illustration incorporates at least one of these elements, creating a drawing that reflects more than just appearance. Every cartoon is completed in less than five minutes, allowing many guests to be included during the event.

How long does each cartoon take?
Each illustration is completed in under five minutes. This allows a large number of guests to receive a drawing during the course of the event while still ensuring each one is personal and carefully observed.
Do guests need to sit and pose?
No. Guests do not need to sit formally or pose. Dan typically speaks briefly with guests while drawing and gathers a small detail about them, such as a hobby or interest, which is then incorporated into the illustration. Guests like to watch their cartoon been drawn in real time.
Are the drawings caricatures?
Not really. Dan does not produce traditional caricatures with exaggerated facial features. Dan creates a likeness which is then personalised with the information provided by the guest. Ensuring every guest feels comfortable and pleased with the result.
What makes this different from other wedding illustrators?

When during the wedding can the cartoons be created?

How much does it cost?
Packages start from £295.00 (Plus travel expenses), which includes 2 hours of live guest cartooning. I can normally complete 20 cartoons in this time frame.
