Debbie & Angela's Civil Partnership - 2 lovely crazy girls Rocking and Rolling!
Fun, patient, experienced, encouraging, creative
In 20 years of teaching, we have never had anyone that didn't manage to learn eventually - people take different times to learn to dance, but with enough practice and encouragement anyone can master it
Plan your day for what you yourselves want, not for what other people want
A 'Marryoke' - all the guests taking part in a video'd singalong & dancealong - fab!
The first dance is usually the last official duty of a long, emotional and very tiring day, so my philosophy is to keep to something simple and elegant rather than going for all the tricks and not pulling it off. I usually give you a beginning, a fancy ending and a fairly flexible middle bit, so if you start a bit late or have a bit of a mental block during the dance, you can always get it back on track (a bit like the emergency stop in driving lessons - you hope you'll never need it, but good to have just in case!) You'll get a tailored step-set to suit your music, but we also spend little time on recovering from going slightly wrong so your guests won't ever know!
Plenty of humour and interaction, but without putting anyone down
Giving a demonstration and Jive group lesson to the Morris Dancing Federation's AGM - quite surreal!
My usual issue is how to talk to other guests without letting on how I know the bride and groom - most couples don't tell anyone they've been having dance lessons - so I've got quite good at evasive answers and strategic withdrawals to other rooms!
That would be telling!!!
