SketchedbyME Illustration is an illustration duo specialising in watercolour live event drawing, capturing moments as they unfold with elegance and personality. The ME in our name comes from the first letters of our names, Monisha and Ele, reflecting our collaborative approach and shared creative vision.
Monisha is a freelance artist who studied Fine Art at the University of Nottingham, bringing a strong foundation in traditional techniques and expressive storytelling.
Ele is an illustrator who studied Graphic Design at the University of Worcester, adding a refined eye for composition, design, and visual communication.
We first met over 15 years ago when we began our A-levels, studying Art, Graphic Design, and Photography. What started as a shared passion for creativity has grown into a long-standing partnership rooted in trust, friendship, and complementary skills.
Our work spans weddings, private and corporate events, where we create live, hand-painted watercolour illustrations that offer guests a unique and memorable experience. We are always open to new commissions, collaborations, and event opportunities.

What locations do you cover?
We cover all of the UK with extra charges for travel costs if more than an hour from our base location. We also cover events abroad with travel and hotel costs additional.
What materials do you use?
We use watercolour paints and pen on heavy watercolour paper. These dry very quickly so there’s no mess. Every illustration will come in a clear wallet so it stays protected on your journey home.
How many portraits do you complete at the event?
It takes us around 10 minutes each to paint one illustration depending on the complexity of it. Together, we both aim for around 10-12 per hour.
Do you only cover weddings?
No, we cover all events. Wether it be a corporate event, birthday party or baby shower. We’ve got you!
