What is your most memorable wedding?
I love it when weddings are personal and match the couple's personality. I see a lot of carbon copy weddings which all merge into one for me.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Friendly, fun, respectful, memorable and magical
What about your business are you most proud of?
I have a monthly magic show at The Ritz Hotel in London
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Get others to worry about the running of the wedding, so you can relax and enjoy it.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The bride and groom mixed glitter together in a bowl (representing their colours etc) and then shot it out of a cannon across the room. Everyone had been warned so the mess wasn't a problem but boy did that get the party going!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After the booking is confirmed, we have a video chat, or a meet up in a local coffee house or pub and I get to know the couple's thoughts for the wedding. This helps me create a bespoke service which I know fits into the day as well as it can. Then as the day approaches, we'll chat a little more often until the big day itself.
What is your No. 1 top tip for keeping a crowd entertained?
Involve everyone and make it fun. It's not about me, it's about the group.
Where is the most memorable place you have performed?
The Ritz, The Magic Circle itself and I have even entertained The Queen.
Have you had any interesting surprises at a wedding?
One wedding booked two magicians and didn't know. The bride had booked me, and the groom had booked someone else. We made it work very well in the end.
What is your party trick?
I have a special piece of magic that I only perform for the couple which leaves them with an impossible gift created in the moment.
