Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Expressive, Colourful , Figurative, Joyful, Creative
What about your business are you most proud of?
The creative approach - making something unique and beautiful to add to the magic of an exciting day.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Try and get to a point with the planning that you’re happy with at least a week before the wedding so you can relax in the run up and do anything last minute that might come up without panicking! Also, delegate for the day - ask a bridesmaid, a groomsman or your mother-in-law to check little things on the morning of the wedding so you can relax and concentrate on getting ready!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I may be biased, but a live painter of course! :-)
Describe your typical process with a couple.
The couple will initially get in touch and chat with my manager Angie, either via email or on the phone. She’ll answer any questions they may have and discuss what they would like in terms of a painting, date and location of their wedding and pricing. Once everything has been agreed, I will show up at your venue on the morning of the wedding, set up my easel and paints, and start painting the background of the scene. When the guests arrive I will continue to paint and may take somephotographs to help me create the painting. I will chat to guests while working and hopefully provide some fun entertainment for them as they watch the painting unfold.
What is your No. 1 top tip for keeping a crowd entertained?
To keep painting! I can try and crack some jokes but perhaps you would like a different entertainer for that :-)
Where is the most memorable place you have performed?
Definitely at North Lodge Park in Cromer, Norfolk; it’s my happy place as I used to go on holiday there as a child.
Have you had any interesting surprises at a wedding?
Once a mariachi band came up and serenaded me with a mariachi-style cover of Jesse J’s All 'About the Money'!
What is your party trick?
Making everyone look beautiful!
