Hey! I'm Shaun, a proud dad, husband and self employed musician from Stockport - a self proclaimed music lover.
I am the DJ, the editor, the email replier, the Instagram poster, everything you see behind SBDJ Services is me, trying my best and absolutely loving the journey with the love and support from my wife Lauren, children Ted & Penelope, and frenchie Bruce!
I feel like I work well under pressure, I think I probably do that better - which is why the stress of performing comes naturally. I absolutely love my job. Even without the qualifications and awards, I'd still feel as though I'm beating life by doing a job that involves celebrating the best day of customers lives!
Building a trusting relationship with all of my clients is so important. It's the basis to success, the key to building both an entertainment package and an atmosphere that suits you. My packages are designed to be tailored, they’re flexible allowing you to personalise your own entertainment.
Guidance and support comes as standard throughout the booking process, whether that's advice on how long it takes to walk down the aisle, or what type of entertainment to book during your wedding breakfast. Boring entertainment isn't for me. I never save or 'program' set-lists, the soundtrack to your wedding or event is totally unique, and will never be repeated.
My cutting edge software allows me to stream the most up-to-date tracks which we can throw directly into the mix, and my professional network extends to hundreds of wedding and corporate venues and suppliers across the UK. With this in-depth knowledge, I can help meticulously plan your day to ensure it runs without a hitch. I'm also one of the few people around who can play the saxophone and DJ at the same time, whether that's a classic nineties party set or some more modern dance tracks, I'm happy to join you and your guests on the dancefloor to bring the party to life. I'll also do what I can to capture your dancefloor on camera - my packages which you can check out on my website all include a digital photo album which includes around 60 professionally edited images.
If any of the above interests you I'd love to hear from you - please get in touch, I'd love to see how I can be part of your big day!
Yes. For most package bookings, a simple 20% deposit is taken, as well as a signature on our contract to let us know that you're committed to the booking as much as we are! For more complex high value bookings, a 25% deposit may be requested to secure my attendance. You will be made aware of this from the outset, and the online payment methods are really simple to use.
I'm happy to travel where ever my work takes me. Unless included in your package, a standard fuel charge is added to any booking at 55p per mile, as well as £10.80 per hour (pro-rata) for journeys longer than 1 hour.
Firstly, I'm really laid back. It's all about you, and I'm happy to adapt my style to suit your day and your personality. I'm not overly talkative on the microphone, and it's all about the music - nobody really cares who sang the last song or what year it came out!
That's simple: just get in touch! I refuse to take any money, or process a booking before I've had the opportunity to introduce myself and my services personally, whether that be via phone, email or even an in-person meeting. I also run our sister company, The Groove which allows you to book other DJ's and entertainers through our system.
Yes! I carry all of the relevant documentation that your venue may request. This includes PAT Test Certificates, Public Liability Insurance up to the value of £5 Million, as well as Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance.
Of course. Your initial deposit will remain valid, and secures your whole booking with me. If you choose to add any additional add-ons, I'll simply send out a new contract for you to sign with the amended information.
