A sunset ceremony on a rooftop in Rome. I played the bride’s entrance solo on soprano sax, with the city skyline behind me — pure magic. We went straight into a sax-led drinks reception, and later I switched into full DJ Sax mode for the afterparty. That one had it all: elegance, emotion, and serious celebration.
Smooth, vibrant, professional, intuitive, unforgettable.
The emotional impact. Whether it’s a couple tearing up during a live version of their first dance, or a crowd going wild when the sax drops in during a DJ set — I’m proud to help create moments that people never forget.
Think about energy flow. Music isn’t just background — it shapes how the day feels. The right song at the right time turns a moment into a memory.
A couple once had me play a custom medley for the groom’s entrance that combined his Jamaican roots and her love of 90s R&B — it was unexpected, bold, and had everyone on their feet. That kind of fusion creates such a powerful connection.
I start by finding out what parts of the day they want music for and what kind of vibe they’re going for — chilled, classy, high energy, or all three. Once we’ve locked in the schedule, I tailor the playlist, prep any special requests, and coordinate directly with venues or DJs to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Surprise them. A smooth sax solo during dinner is one thing — but when I walk into the middle of the dancefloor and drop a solo over a DJ set, the energy in the room shifts instantly. That’s when the phones come out and the magic hits.
I once performed on a private yacht off the coast of Santorini. The sun was setting, champagne was flowing, and the sax was gliding over chill house beats. Definitely a pinch-me moment.
At one wedding, the groom secretly planned a sax-led dance-off for the bride — no one knew, and when the first beat hit, he absolutely stole the show. I had to improvise musically while watching a full dance battle unfold in front of me!
Reading the room like a DJ and flipping the vibe in a split second — one moment I’m playing mellow jazz during canapés, the next I’ve layered live sax over a remix of Beyoncé or Calvin Harris and the whole place is jumping.
