What is your most memorable wedding?
One of my most memorable weddings was a Halloween-themed celebration, where the couple had gotten engaged on Halloween! We transformed the venue with eerie orange and purple lighting, complete with a UV wash. The playlist featured a mix of spooky favourites like "Thriller" and "Ghostbusters," and it was amazing to see the guests fully embrace the fun, dressed in costumes and dancing the night away. It reminded me how much I love bringing a couple's unique vision to life through music and lighting.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Professional, Personalised, Adaptable, Engaging, Reliable.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of the personalised approach we bring to each wedding. Being an independent operator allows me to focus completely on the couple's needs, ensuring that every wedding feels unique and special. I also take pride in building strong connections with my clients, helping them feel confident that every detail is taken care of.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My top tip is: don’t stress about trying to please everyone. Focus on creating a day that reflects your personalities and what makes you happy as a couple. If the music, the vibe, and the moments feel right to you, your guests will enjoy the celebration just as much as you do.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One couple had voice messages from their family and friends mixed into the music throughout the night. Hearing loved ones’ personal messages between songs created a really intimate and meaningful atmosphere. It was such a simple but thoughtful way to make their day feel even more special.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to start with a relaxed chat—either in person or via video call—to get to know your music tastes and what vibe you’re aiming for on the day. From there, I’ll work with you to put together a soundtrack that reflects your style and your crowd. We’ll stay in touch leading up to the big day to tweak any details. On the day, my goal is to handle everything seamlessly so you can enjoy the party without worrying about a thing.
What is your No. 1 top tip for keeping a crowd entertained?
Pay attention to how people are reacting and switch things up if needed. It’s all about reading the room and keeping the energy going. Sometimes a slow song can help reset the mood, but the key is to keep people engaged and on their feet with tunes they love.
Where is the most memorable place you have performed?
A few venues stand out! The Tall Ship in Glasgow had such a unique atmosphere, with the historic ship adding a stunning backdrop to the celebration. The Den at Culross, a large barn conversion, provided this rustic yet modern vibe—perfect for a relaxed but lively wedding. And The Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow is one of those iconic venues where the mix of history and a grand setting makes for an unforgettable night.
Have you had any interesting surprises at a wedding?
One of the most memorable events I’ve done wasn’t even supposed to be a wedding—at least, that’s what the guests thought. It was set up as a joint 50th birthday party, but the couple had secretly planned to surprise everyone by turning it into their wedding! We were in on the secret, and the moment they revealed it, the room was filled with shock, excitement, and a lot of happy tears. Watching the guests’ reactions as it all unfolded was incredible—it turned an already special occasion into something truly unforgettable.
What is your party trick?
Reading the crowd like a book. I’ve got a knack for sensing exactly when the vibe needs to change, whether it’s dropping a dance floor anthem or slowing things down just at the right moment. It’s all about keeping everyone engaged and making sure the energy never dips. If I can pull off a seamless transition from a sing-along to a full-on party mode, then I know I’ve nailed it!
