I’m Laura Seymour, a professional violinist providing exquisite live music for weddings and events across the South West of the UK. I perform on both my beautiful French acoustic violin for a timeless and elegant sound, and my vibrant electric violin, perfect for modern celebrations, grand venues, and events that call for a pop or rock twist. With the option of backing tracks or solo performances, I tailor each set to suit your unique vision.

Music has been my lifelong passion—I began playing the violin at age five, trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, and have performed in numerous orchestras, chamber ensembles, and solo settings. I also co-manage the Serenity String Duo with my sister, Katja (cellist), offering beautiful string performances for those looking for a richer ensemble sound.

What is your most memorable wedding?
I had the distinct pleasure of performing at the exquisite Rose Garden Banqueting Hall in Wolverhampton, once again collaborating with the exceptional Calibar Events and the talented DJ Rix. For the couple's grand entrance, we brought the energy with a live performance of Pepas by Farruko, accompanied by a full LIVE dhol drumming ensemble. With the addition of stunning dry ice, dazzling fireworks, and captivating screens, the entire evening was nothing short of spectacular – a truly unforgettable celebration of love and luxury.

I cherish when couples incorporate their cultural heritage into the ceremony, such as including traditional music that resonates with their background. It adds a deeply personal and meaningful layer to the celebration.

I begin with a personal consultation to understand your vision and musical preferences. Together, we curate a bespoke setlist that complements your special day. I handle all logistics, coordinate with your venue, and ensure seamless integration into your event. My goal is to provide a stress-free experience, allowing you to enjoy the enchanting atmosphere created by live violin music.
What is your No.1 top tip for keeping a crowd entertained?
Reading the room is essential. I adapt my performance to match the energy and mood of the guests, seamlessly transitioning between genres and tempos to keep everyone engaged and create a captivating ambiance.
Where is the most memorable place you have performed?
Performing at Euridge Manor stands out as a favorite venue. The picturesque setting, especially the boathouse on the water, provides a breathtaking backdrop that enhances the magic of live violin music. Each wedding holds a special place in my heart, but one that stands out is performing at Euridge Manor. Seeing couples take their wedding photos on the water by the stunning boathouse while my music filled the air was truly magical.
Have you had any interesting surprises at a wedding?
I had an absolutely fantastic time performing alongside Calibar Events & DJ Rix in Norwich for a beautiful Sikh Wedding Feast. The setup was stunning, with an amazing sound system, top-notch DJ decks, mesmerizing lights, full sized screens, and even indoor fireworks.
It was truly an unforgettable experience!
