Planning your First Dance as husband and wife is an important part of the arrangements for your Wedding Day. The image of you both dancing together may well be the lasting memory many of your guests have as the highlight of your reception. You might even hear gasps of delight as you surprise everyone with a relaxed but impressive performance. Your first dance can be one of the most cherished memories of your Wedding; including the fun you both shared preparing for it.
In fact, as a result of the pleasure and sense of achievement often felt by couples performing their first dance, many continue with dance lessons after their Wedding.
We offer a variety of ways for you to learn to dance:
~~ Private Tuition– these lessons can be arranged at a time and place to suit you (even in your own home if you prefer).
~~ Dance Classes– these are held weekly and include specially designed new beginners’ classes for those just starting out.
~~ Wedding Dance Workshops – these sessions are specifically designed for couples preparing for their First Dance. You’ll share the learning experience with others preparing for their Big Day.
You can choose the learning mode that suits you both, taking account of the time available and your other commitments etc. For example, you might join one of our weekly classes to begin working on the basics of partner dancing, and then supplement this later with a couple of private lessons to tailor your dance to the song you’ve selected.
In any event we advise starting lessons as early as possible; especially if you’re new to partner dancing. The more time you have to learn the more you can relax and enjoy this pleasurable social activity.
You may already have what you both consider to be “Our Song”; established for a variety of reasons. . . e.g.
~~ heard it everywhere on your first holiday together
~~ playing in the background when you got engaged
~~ was a pop hit when you first met
~~ favourite song by an artist [...]
