All Doved Up

My most memorable isnt a wedding but a Renewal of vows, it was for a special couple who had been though so much with a disabled chid, and then he Father was told he was terminaly ill, they renwed their vows in this time, And ive never met such humble loving people in my life, sadly he lost his battle not long after but it will remain with me forever.

The releasing of a memory dove, as the bride released she said, this is for you dad, touched me deeply

I meet with them before the day, they have a trial release, so they are comfortable with handeling and releasing so they know what to expect, there we run through which of our cages they think will suit the wedding, they choose the colours and flowers, i take all information required to make their release run as smoothly as possible.

In the case of the doves, i think everyone is curious, so while the bride and groom are having their photos taken i always hold a dove so people can pet and ask questions.

The most memerable venue we have worked is Caerphilly Castle, the senery is stunning and the castle it self is breath taking

Yes i turned up once for a booking where friends all booked for the bride and Groom, unbeknownes to me the Groom was petrified of birds, They all knew this and thought it would be funny, But fairplay he proved them all wrong after running a mile he did come back and openend the basket to release the birds.
