What is your most memorable wedding?
There are too many ... but one of the most memorable weddings was our first wedding at the shop; which happened before we had our official opening. A bride was due to go into hospital for quite a serious operation and wanted to get married before she was admitted, giving her only 5 weeks to plan and organise the whole day. She came to see us, and we were able to find her a beautiful dress to walk down the aisle in and say "I Do!". The day was perfect (we were invited as guests to the evening reception) and the operation was a complete success, so very happy tears all round.

Describe your typical process with a couple.
When a bride comes into the boutique, we always start with a warm welcome and offer of refreshments, give everyone the opportunity to sit down and relax before the start of the appointment. The first conversations begin with us asking about their vision for the big day, where the wedding is taking place, what kind of wedding they are looking for, the size of the wedding etc. We then invite the bride to look at dresses with everyone in the bridal party to ensure all of those involved get a chance to have their say of how they would like the bride/bridesmaid to look. Once the dresses have been selected, the trying on process begins. Once dresses are on, they return to the viewing area to allow people to give their opinions and see what the bride feels about the dress. We then team the dresses with any veils or tiaras that may add to the overall look that is trying to be a achieved.
We would always ensure a bride tries on lots of different shapes of dresses to ensure what she is looking for is what she really wants to wear, many times we have seen brides wanting one style of dress and falling in love with something very different.
As consultants, when we meet a bride, we immediately get an idea of the style of dress that would suit a body shape, so would always ask a bride if she is willing for us to select a couple of dresses too.
