What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Choose suppliers, from florists and venues to stationers and cake makers that you get on with - they are a huge part of your day, and you have to communicate with them on a regular basis - its so much more enjoyable and fun when you have a great relationship with everyone involved in your wedding day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love it when people have photos of their siblings, parents, grand parents and other family members on their wedding day for people to view - watching people guess who's who is amusing
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I really like meeting people, to build rapport... inviting them to the shop for an appointment. At your appointment we discuss what you think you want to wear, details about your wedding and what you're happy spending. Then we select dresses, which i help you in and out of. I advise everyone to be honest about what they like (and not like) about each dress - this can inspire me to get other dresses for you try on, or add accessories.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing the end result... the photos customers send to me of them on their actual wedding day - its amazing seeing everything come together just how the bride and groom had envisaged.
What is your favourite style of wedding dress?
I am absolutely loving crepe and georgette fabric dresses, with a little lace on the back or straps... these fabrics work so well together and really help show off your shape.
What is the best way to incorporate "Something Blue" into the wedding outfit?
Some of our designers now sew a little blue bow into your wedding dress - i think this is such a lovely idea
What is your favourite wedding dress of all time?
My favourite dress of all time, which my sister wore on her recent wedding, is called Loren, by the super talented British designer Stephanie Allin. The fit, shape and fabric are all perfect....
