Tara Deighton Bridal & Bespoke

Tara Deighton is a Hastings based designer of romantically modern custom made bridal wear, lingerie, evening wear and women’s tailoring. Known for her simple and refined silhouettes and delicate fabrics, Tara is inspired by vintage and couture fashion and empowered women of both the past and present. Tara’s precision pattern cutting, attention to detail and use of heritage techniques make her clothing truly unique. Each piece is handcrafted sustainably in her studio by the sea. A chance encounter with a book on the V&A’s costume collection and an extensive dressing up box filled with Biba frocks, Victorian petticoats and 1980’s maxi dresses ignited her passion. Tara started sewing when she was given her first sewing machine at age 6 and has been sewing ever since. She gained an honours degree in Fashion from East London University.
