I loved everything about working with Rachel, and cannot recommend her highly enough. She’s hugely talented, creative and kind, and she takes the time to really listen to what is important to you, to design and make the perfect dress. She has a hugely impressive skillset for everything from design to tailoring, and she works with the most beautiful materials to create entirely unique pieces bespoke to you. Her process is extremely thorough and feels like a partnership between the two of you, which I really valued. I came to Rachel with some idea of what I wanted, and she helped to refine and shape my thinking. During my first fitting, that thinking changed again, and Rachel was so helpful and so flexible in tweaking the design to reflect that. The result was everything you want your wedding dress to be - the most beautiful, special thing I’ve ever worn. That Rachel is a creative genius would be enough to recommend her in itself, but as an added bonus she’s also delightful, and exactly the person you need in the run-up to your wedding - kind, calm, hugely organised and incredibly competent. I wish everyone could have their wedding dress made by Rachel!

I cannot recommend Rachel highly enough. At the beginning of my wedding dress search, I tried on lots of dresses which had elements that I liked but fell short in some way or just didn’t suit me quite right. I wanted to amalgamate my favourite parts of dresses I’d tried and to add my own spin. Rachel made this happen, she took time to understand my ideas and came up with a design that was practical but looked exactly how I wanted it and suited me perfectly. Rachel was incredibly organised and approachable throughout the making of my dress, and during design meetings and fittings she made me feel confident and put my mind at ease. Even though I knew what my dress was going to look like, I was still blown away by the end product. It was absolutely gorgeous and made me feel incredibly special on my wedding day. During lockdown I found two 1930s evening dress patterns online. Having not found anything I liked off the peg for my civil Partnership ceremony, I decided to see if I could have a dress made. I didn’t want a wedding dress, and I loved the front of one the patterns and the back of another. So, after a rough sketch I set about trying to find someone locally who was up to the task. The moment I saw the range of styles on Rachel’s website, I knew she could do it. Meeting her in summer 2020, I talked her through my ideas and she just seemed to know what I wanted. She helped me choose a gorgeous teal silk and matching chiffon, and set to work on the toile. Rachel was so patient and flexible as lockdowns shifted and cancelled fittings. Her attention to detail was incredible, and the end result is a dress that I still can’t quite believe is mine. It was a tricky cut, with a panel on the bias and all in silk, leaving nowhere to hide! Rachel is a talented and genuinely lovely person to work with, I feel so lucky to have found her.

Rachel was a dream to work with. During our second lockdown I was getting increasingly stressed about not being able to try on any dresses and the idea of going dres shopping alone, but then I stumbled upon Rachel's website! She was completely professional but simultaneously so kind and welcoming. My mum was allowed to come along to our fittings, we wore masks and sat socially distanced, Rachel worked around whatever made us feel most at ease and we were made to feel really comfortable - which is not easily done in a pandemic! Rachel brought my vision of my dream dress to life. My mum and I will forever cherish having such a special experience to reflect back on.

From the moment I met Rachel I knew I had made the right choice. We instantly clicked and she just knew exactly what I wanted. I came to her with two very different ideas in mind, telling her I was struggling to decide what direction I wanted to go. She just said: Don't worry, I can do both. And she did! It was really important to me that I had something special, something different, and that's what Rachel created. Everyone was utterly blown away by her creation. It was like nothing anyone had ever seen before. I felt like a queen. Thank you so much, Rachel.

Rachel is a genius. I cannot recommend her highly enough as she not only made me the perfect wedding dress, but she became a friend (and sometimes a counsellor!) in the process. She’s ridiculously talented, and I trusted her implicitly to do what looked/worked best – quite a scary thing to do, but it was absolutely worth it. All of this came at the same price I would have paid for a designer wedding dress and alterations! I still can’t believe my luck I found her on Instagram a year ago and having my dress made by Rachel was the best decision I made this year (apart from marrying my husband of course)! As a size 16-18 plus size bride I had some less than ideal experiences in bridal boutiques – “we can just hold the sample size 12 dress up to you for you to see what it looks like” – and I felt lost and unworthy to wear a wedding dress before I met Rachel. I had a clear idea that I didn’t want a lace or tulle wedding dress or a ball gown, but was relatively open about what it could look like. What we originally envisaged we scrapped early on, which is the beauty of working with Rachel. I took her lead and let her show me various styles from mermaid, to a-line, and we settled on a slim a-line dress. As my fittings progressed, we added lace to the sleeves and in a beautiful panel on the back, as well as changing from a pearl belt to a hand-beaded waistband which matched my hair vine. My dress was perfect, and on the day I have never felt more beautiful. I still haven’t seen a dress from any designer that even remotely resembles my dress, which is testament to how extraordinary Rachel is. I like many brides had looked at numerous photos on line, I knew what I liked and I went to Rachel with an 'idea'. Rachel helped create my idea into a truly beautiful wedding dress that was very 'me'! I'd highly recommend Rachel to another bride to be.
