What is your most memorable wedding?
My own! I wore three different headpieces through the day, and found it was a fun and easy way to change up my look after the ceremony and for the dancing.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Modern, feminine, delicate, playful, elegant
What about your business are you most proud of?
The feedback we get from our brides, and the images of them beaming with happiness in a piece we made by hand.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Leave lots of time for the important decisions - it reduces stress levels so much!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love a personal message on garments or accessories - it could be hand stitched initials, wedding date or the place you met in one of our headpieces. So beautiful and personal.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I usually hear from a bride once she has seen or chosen a dress and her style for the day. We'll try on a range of styles, and then decide if she wants a bespoke design or some changes to a collection piece.
I'll keep in touch through the making process with images and updates, and then arrange a final fitting if needed and ship the piece out in its special packaging. The process usually takes around 4 weeks, sometimes longer for a complex bespoke piece.
What do you love most about your job?
The wonderful women I get to work meet!
What is your favourite style of wedding dress?
Anything worn with confidence! If it makes you feel great you will look amazing.
What is the best way to incorporate "Something Blue" into the wedding outfit?
Well I would say in a headdress of course! We can add subtle blue beading onto the centres of our handmade flowers, or tiny crystals to a veil or even a blue lining for a hidden touch of blue.
What is your favourite wedding dress of all time?
I love the 60's so I would have to say Audrey Hepburn's super chic Givenchy wool shift dress and matching headscarf she wore to marry Andrea Dotti in 1969.
