The dress was out of this world and a dream to wear! It was BEAUTIFUL. I received so many compliments about how amazing it was. I knew from the moment you sent the first email you were the woman for the job and I'm so glad you were able to help. The dress was perfect and more than I could have ever imagined! You knew what I was looking for even when I didn't know myself and your honest advice throughout the process was never wrong. It blew me away when I saw the finished dress and everyone else said the same, it was so special. The whole experience of having it made was faultless and really enjoyable. Mum and I loved popping in for the fittings. You made us always feel so relaxed and welcome, it felt like we'd known you for years. I wish we could do it all over again!

I couldn't have wished for anyone more brilliant, patient or caring to have made my very special dress. I really loved all of my fittings and the evolving design process. A million, trillion thank yous for being so fabulous and talented.

My partner and I had our Civil Partnership back in 2012 and Mette designed both of our outfits: a just-below-the-knee dress and complementary tailcoat for my bride-to-be and a two-piece outfit (plus evening wear) for me. We were delighted with Mette’s patience and approach, paying great attention to specific small details we’d requested and making suggestions for how certain things might work best. The whole process was really fun and enjoyable and stress-free! And for two gals to be able to get their wedding outfits done with no worries about attitudes towards same-sex partnerships was a great relief!

Despite being super busy, Mette fitted me in at short notice and altered a dress for me in time for my friends wedding the following week which I was bridesmaid ag. Fantastic job!

Freja is the only choice for a beautiful, customised, one of kind wedding dress. Mette and her team are incredibly talented and patient. The entire journey from idea, design to make was a delight and I can't recommend Freja highly enough.

I was never going to be a traditional bride. I wanted an outfit that matched my personality. If ever there was a designer who could turn a dream into reality it is Mette. I LOVE my outfit... and it drew compliments from everyone... including complete strangers... and over 500 people on Facebook. Mette and her team are easy - going and very skilled perfectionists.

I saw a dress in a History of Design collection in the museum in Aberdeen, and jokingly said to be very new partner, wouldn't that be a stunning wedding dress!!! I took the photos to the amazing Mette of Freya Designer Dressmaking and the dress I wore on my wedding day was absolutely, heartbreakingly perfect. A little girl in the airport even asked me which Kingdom I was from because I had to be a princess. What more can I ask for.

A wonderful experience from concept to completion of wedding dress. Friendly and enthusiastic team. My ideas were embraced and enhanced with attention to detail to create my vision of my dress. Craftsmanship and skills are exceptional.
