Don't worry too much about pleasing others in your dress choice, in fact very few people remember the wedding dress unless they planning a wedding themselves or your mother, so don't compromise on what you want. Choose your dream dress and feel fabulous, disregarding what you assume other's will think of any particular detail.

I usually only meet the bride! It all starts with a free consultation appointment where we look at design ideas, fabrics and detail. Then she'll receive a written quote with sketches and fabric samples on which to base a decision. I measure the bride and make a 'toile' or practice run to check fit and style before cutting the real fabrics. A series of fittings ensure perfection. Then steaming and a dress bag are included in the making price.

I always sew in a tiny blue bow and rose, right next to the wrist loop on the train of a wedding dress, so when you lift the train to keep it out of the dust the something blue is revealed.
