Our customer service! We love each and every bride we've seen so far, and we go above and beyond to provide the best service and experience and of course, dress.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Set a budget but be prepared to be a little flexible as you may end up wanting to spend more on certain things and less on others, and don't stress over small details! However our dresses are very reasonable and we quite often come under the budget!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
There are lots! Photos of the brides parents in a brooch attached to her bouquet was a lovely way of her having them with her. Handmade favours and personalised gifts for the wedding party is lovely too. We are both huge dog lovers too so love to see your pooches in the procession.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We welcome you and your party to the shop which the bridal side will be closed for you for your private appointment. Mechelle will ask you about your wedding and recommend some styles of dress that she feels using her experience that will suit you and your venue (as this can affect your choice of dress) You will also be given the opportunity to choose some gowns yourself. Your guests will be offered tea or coffee while they wait for you to show your choices on. Hopefully you will find the one and we will order it taking half the payment on order, which takes around 8 months or pay in full and take it away if its an off the peg choice. We love to meet the Groom on the odd occasion they attend or come to collect the dress (in a non see through bag of course!) We do offer interest free payment plans which can be discussed if requested.
What do you love most about your job?
The look on the brides face when she finds "the one" and her not wanting to take it off......Ever! x
What is your favourite style of wedding dress?
We love them all for different reasons but Lyanna by Romantica is our current favourite, it has a square neckline and is so sparkly but elegant.
What is the best way to incorporate "Something Blue" into the wedding outfit?
Romantica of Devon always stitch a blue thread into the underskirts of their dresses which is a lovely touch.
What is your favourite wedding dress of all time?
Most people of our generation would say Princess Diana's, not fashionable now but what a wow on that day x
