By Harriet Full Description
Whether you are seeking bridal hair accessories, jewellery, fascinators or headpieces, "By Harriet" creates them all, and each piece is handcrafted to order and to your requirements. In addition Harriet retails a carefully curated selection of wraps, boleros, bags, fans, jewellery and other special occasion accessories to compliment her personal designs. You may make an appointment to visit the home studio but if that isn't possible don't worry, the unique sample service allows you to try in the comfort of your own home or at a dress fitting or hair trial before ordering. Harriet doesn't just design for brides though, her designs are highly popular with mothers of the bride and groom alike. “By Harriet” focuses on delivering beautifully handmade accessories and exceptional service rather than seeking “world domination” with mass produced items. "My Grandma taught me to sew, fastidious attention to detail and the importance of exceptional quality. My collections evolve to keep fresh and eminently wearable. Every piece is handmade and bespoke work offers the opportunity for creativity to run wild." - Harriet

FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

My own? Not sure if you were looking for a celeb or client answer?

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Client inspired, detailed, timeless, theatrical, quality craftsmanship.

What about your business are you most proud of?

The happy clients faces - cliched but true.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Be yourselves!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

There isn't really one, I'm driven by the way the client wants to work. Generally a consultation in person, via email, skype, phone, at an exhibition of via samples in the post is the starting point.

What do you love most about your job?

Variety. Every client is different and has different ideas, it is impossible to get board, the challenge of creating something different for each bespoke brief is fantastic.

What is your favourite style of wedding dress?

Changes everyday, I couldn't possibly choose.

What is the best way to incorporate "Something Blue" into the wedding outfit?

A charm - http://byharriet.co.uk/something-blue-charms/

What is your favourite wedding dress of all time?

Whilst certainly not my favourite, the dress that had the biggest wow for me was watching on TV with friends and family at our street party when Princess Diana got out of the carriage and that train just kept coming. As a 10 year old it made a huge impression.
