For the bold, the timeless and the unforgettable
Bronwen Bridge is a modern bridal studio based in Manchester, offering bespoke wedding gowns for style-conscious brides who want something truly personal. Every gown is thoughtfully designed and handmade in-house by designer and maker Ruth Bronwen Bridge, blending sharp tailoring with sculptural silhouettes and luxe fabric textures.
Known for clean lines, thoughtful details, and a touch of drama, Ruth works closely with each client to create a gown that feels powerful, personal, and entirely one of a kind. The process is collaborative from start to finish – from the first sketch to the final fitting – and always rooted in precision craftsmanship.
Whether you’re after a gown that transforms from day to evening or a bold design that breaks with tradition, each piece is made to measure and built to flatter, using couture techniques and the finest materials.
THE EXPERIENCE
The bespoke process is collaborative, considered, and completely tailored to you. From the first consultation to the final fitting, Ruth guides you through every stage — starting with design sketches, followed by custom pattern-cutting, fabric sourcing, and individual fittings in the Manchester studio.
Bespoke services start from £1,400, with most wedding dresses ranging between £2,500 and £3,800. Each gown is handmade in-house with precision and care. Payment is taken in stages, following an initial deposit. As every piece is custom and made-to-measure, no additional alteration costs are required.
Expect a relaxed, down-to-earth experience, expert guidance, and a design that feels like you — on your best day.
My No.1 wedding planning tip is to plan a wedding that’s personal to you. Don’t feel pressured to follow trends or traditions if they don’t align with who you are as a couple. Make your day a true reflection of you together and what feels authentic to you both - and have fun!
I love getting to know my brides, building a connection, and understanding their vision for their wedding day. Beyond that, I truly enjoy a day dedicated to sewing and creating in my studio—especially when the sunlight streams in.
My favourite style is one that blends timeless elegance with modern elements. A sleek, sculptural silhouette that feels bold yet effortless, paired with intricate details or unexpected textures—something that truly reflects the bride’s personality.
A lovely way to add "Something Blue" is with blue velvet ribbon detailing on your wedding basque, like corsetry or a tiny bow. It’s a subtle, meaningful touch that complements your design beautifully.
