Some of our brides find their dream dress with us straight away and do not wish to look anywhere else. Others like to visit a few other boutiques and therefore, more time is needed in the decision-making process. Consequently, you may wish to bear in mind that ideally you should aim to be ordering your dress 7-9 months prior to the date of your wedding. This takes into account the time it takes for your dress to be made to order and then, very importantly, the time needed to have your dress fitted perfectly to you. If you are on a tight timescale, you can still come and see us as we have sample dresses which can be bought off-the-peg and adjusted to fit you.

Our off-the-peg collection ranges from sizes 8 to 20, this includes designers; Mori Lee, Stella York, Sincerity and Freda Bennet. Your dream dress could be waiting for you! This is the perfect solution for a bride looking to say yes to the dress, the savings and sustainability.

Yes, we do require an appointment to try on wedding dresses. This allows us to provide you with a personalised and relaxed 90-minute bridal experience. You can easily book your exclusive appointment through our website.

We carry a beautiful and thoughtfully curated collection of wedding dresses from designers such as MoriLee, Stella York, Justin Alexander - Sincerity, and Freda Bennet. Our collection is curated to offer a range of styles from whimsical to minimalistic elegance and silhouettes to suit every body shape.

Alterations are not included in the purchase price of your dress. We recommend you budget £180 to £300 (+ extra for bespoke adaptions)  Every Bride will require a fitting with a seamstress to ensure the dress is tailored to her own body shape. We can provide details of independent/freelance seamstresses who work from their own home or studio. These Independent/Freelance seamstresses are not employed by the company Blessings, they are bridal seamstresses with a wealth of experience in bridal and occasion wear alterations and whom all work independently.

In House Thursday Fittings can be arranged within our boutique. Fittings in our boutique take place on a Thursday afternoon/evening by appointment only. Your alteration charge is not paid to Blessings but paid directly to your freelance seamstress. Please allow a minimum of 12 weeks for your fittings unless otherwise advised.

Our sample dresses are generally in sizes 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24

A subsequent second re-try appointment to retry your favourite dress will carry no charge. Re-try appointments are for a 45-minute duration only. This allows time to re-try your chosen dress along with accessories, before having your measurements taken and then filling in the relevant order forms to submit your order to the designer. Please be aware that delivery for your dress can take up to 20 weeks (This may be longer on ‘specials’ This depends on each designer)

If you cancel your appointment with 3 days notice then you will receive a refund. For example if your appointment was scheduled for 10am on Saturday, then you need to let us know by 10am on Wednesday. There are no refunds/vouchers given for cancellations with less than 3 days notice or no-shows on the day.

You can pay by card with a link (upon request) or payment can be made by BACS (bank transfer) Once you have paid we will confirm your appointment by email or text

Our bridal boutique is open Tuesday to Saturday by appointment only.
