Russell Blackburn opened Blackburn Bridal Couture nearly seven years ago as a result of his passion for making brides beautiful for their big day. His career in bridal began at the UK’s No1 bridal title You and Your Wedding and sister publication Cosmopolitan Bride where he was Marketing and Fashion Sales Director for 9 years, and his knowledge and expertise in this field has afforded him a highly-respected and well-known presence within the industry. Blackburn Bridal Couture began from a desire to breathe new life in to the London bridal scene. Appealing to stylish brides wanting quality and originality alongside a personal approach to finding The Dress, he is proud to have built up over seven years one of the most successful independent boutiques that London has to offer. Russell is in his element when styling brides on a one-to-one basis and recently headed up a team of bridal experts on Wedding TV’s ‘Bridal Boudoir’, a makeover show to create the dream look. Russell is also asked to contribute his knowledge and expertise by leading bridal magazines, ‘You and Your Wedding’ and ‘Brides Magazine’. He is currently loving designers Clinton Lotter and Sarah Janks, whose glamourous and super-chic collections are available at Blackburn Bridal. He says, “These dresses ooze sophistication and style for todays modern bride who wants that celebrity red carpet feel for her grand entrance.”
