What about your business are you most proud of?
Although we are a small team (Husband and Wife), we pride ourselves on our customer service and making sure each booking is as personal to the couple as possible. We purposefully limit the amount of weddings we take on per weekend so that attention to detail can be maintained to a high standard - so get in touch early to avoid disappointment!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Think about your venue as your canvas - are there any existing features within the room you can use within your décor, or would you prefer a draped, blank canvas to project your personalities onto?
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love seeing that a couple have chosen signature drinks or cocktails for their 'welcome drinks'! I absolutely love cocktails, and wish this was something we'd have done when we got married back in 2010.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
First of all I ask for details about your venue, wedding date and the style you're looking for/any items you have already seen and fallen in love with. We discuss different ways to create the look, and then if you'd like more information or would like to get together to design and confirm your date, I then ask you to join me for a consultation in our 'Little Wedding Room'. When we meet we look at lots of photo inspiration, samples and go as in depth with the design as needs be. To reserve your date with us I request a small booking fee, with your final balance being due 2 months before your wedding, as well as some completed paperwork; then we're all set. From the moment of booking until your wedding date I'll be available via email, social media message, WhatsApp or phone if you need any information, have any questions, or want to 'pick my brains' for any extra tips or tricks you may need.
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
We're seeing lots of sequins, textures and foliage with our couples at the moment - colourings from nature (light blues, sage greens, ecru for example) are really popular for most styles of venue.
What is your signature finishing touch?
We are friends with some many suppliers, and they always comment that they know we've worked at the same wedding because of our bows and drapery! We've had our drapery custom designed and built for us, and our uniform bows and straight chair décor are a give away we've been there.
What decoration do you think every wedding needs?
The 'WOW' feature that will instantly make your guests gasp with delight...a statement backdrop, giant blossom trees or light up LOVE letters are fantastic for this, and will leave a great lasting impression on your guests.
