S and S Designs, Weddings & Events

So, I found this company through lockdown whilst planning my wedding, a lot of it was done online due to the circumstances etc. They had a Facebook and instagram and lots of things showing their great work so I trusted they were legit! DO NOT BE FOOLED! I booked a £1000 package and managed to get 20% discount for key worker and sent my deposit as requested to book with them. They promised me everything from dressing to photo booth and favours/stationary. As time got closer I contacted them for a meet up at the venue so we could go through all of my requirements. The appointment was arranged with themselves and the venue and on the day they never showed up and never called to inform me. I called and they then told me that they had been I’ll and had forgotten to call me (RED FLAG!!) .. they apologised knocked me £50 off and arranged another appointment and in fairness Chantelle showed up to that one one, however it was without any details of what had I had paid for or the invoice, so I had to go through everything again with her; which I found unprofessional in itself. Again at the meeting, I was promised everything I wanted and Chantelle left. A few weeks went by and I had contacted them to discuss some things regarding the venue dressing and had no response. So I tried to call 30+ times over a 5 week period and got no answer. Following that I received an email a month and a half before my August wedding; this email told me that they had seized business for venue dressing. I was devastated to say the least and stressed trying to locate alternate suppliers on such short notice. S&S did say they would complete my stationary and kept the deposit I had paid to fund this, I requested a new invoice but to my surprise (not) I didn’t get one. At first Sam was responsive and for a third time I was promised all the things I’d requested including - 65 favours, 65 place names, table plan and welcome to wedding sign & table numbers. We are are now 12 days before my wedding & I have received half an order. Ive text and called numerous times and still no response, which clearly means I won’t be getting the rest! I’ve uploaded a photo of the embarrassing favours I was sent, so much so I’ve had to go out and buy new ones. They also sent me 47 place names, so the ones I have are all useless (as I have 65 guests who need one) and 7 table numbers with nothing to stand them in! DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS! I’m utterly appalled that they are capable of treating people the way they have me and wanted to warn any other brides to stay well away from this pair of absolute con artists! Sam and Chantelle you aught to be ashamed! What an absolute catastrophe!

They have gone bust. We had them booked for our wedding and in May tried to contact them to finalise all our arrangements but could not get through to them. I emailed and sent Facebook messages for about 6 weeks with no replies. Tried to go on their website and call them but both have been cancelled. Don’t waste your time looking at them, they won’t be able to provide you anything

****BRIDES BEWARE****** I just wanted to give anyone who is thinking of booking S&S design and events a heads up about their terrible service. After our initial meeting with their team we felt that we had found the perfect venue dressers for our big day. We booked their top package and added on a lot of extras. They assured us that they could offer us everything that we wanted. I had my day yesterday and it was a huge disappointment to see how little they had listened to what I wanted. I wouldn’t have classed myself as a bridezilla at all, all of my other suppliers laughed at how relaxed I was - but everything I asked of S&S design an events seemed like a chore. My flowers were poor quality and I didn’t even get to see them until I arrived in my bridal suite. They got rid of the arch that we had requested to get married under 12 months after we had picked it. Our favours were absolutely awful, we asked for little jars of gin and rum - they didn’t have labels, we’re not even 5ml and tasted watered down. The table decorations and other bits and bobs were not what we asked for. And there was A LOT that we had ordered missing… as detailed in the complaint that I have sent them below. I didn’t mention everything in the complaint and I still haven’t mentioned everything with what I have added on this post either - if I was to do so it would take me a lifetime to write out. They read this message at around 12pm today, but have yet to respond at all. I’m not looking for compensation from them or anything… I just don’t want any brides to be as disappointed as I was yesterday going forward. Luckily my venue was beautiful on its own, so I don’t think many guests noticed the lack of decoraton, but I was still upset that I didn’t get everything I had asked and paid for. I’ve also attached a photo of the photo booth that they sent me - in realty I got two Polaroid cameras on a table with cardboard props 🤦🏻‍♀️ So guys, BEWARE of S&S designs!!!

100% would recommend S & S Design to anyone looking for invites or guest gifts. Nothing has been too much hassle or too much to ask and everything I’ve asked to change here and there has been done with no trouble at all. This is something I really appreciate as it proves these lovely ladies will accommodate and tailor everything to your needs and requests wherever they can- which is not something a lot of companies or people will do. ❤️ My invitations are beautiful and I’m so excited to send them out in a few months time. In the meantime I have ordered some gift boxes for my bridal party and we are finalising details on the variety of colours S & S Design have to offer. Also have found out they do groomsmen boxes as well so we are discussing this too which is exciting!😌 I have messaged at random times before due to different shift patterns and still my messages are answered promptly and professionally- even after midnight sometimes! Top class service all round and I am very happy with the products I have received and will definitely be ordering more items between now and our wedding as I know the products are good quality, communication is quick and easy and everything has been such a good price, with plenty of good offers to sweeten those prices even more! 🤑 I am so happy I discovered their page on Facebook and will definitely be recommending to other people. Oh my goodness, received my invites yesterday and all I can say is WOW! The detail is amazing, the quality is amazing and the customer service is amazing! The price was very very reasonable and Chantelle kept me informed through the whole process and didn’t print until we were 100% satisfied with the mocks! Thank you so much Chantelle they are beautiful! Xx
