Pretty It Picnics has been running since 2021 primarily decorating for Hen Doo's, Bridal Showers & more! Having been in the wedding industry for 12 years and working alongside many venues in Farnham for both catering & staffing including: Northbrook Park, Froyle Park, Farnham Castle, Bury Court Barn, Gate Street Barn so very familiar with these venues and their set ups.
A little background on PIP...
Fran The founder and CEO of Pretty It Picnics boasts a wealth of experience spanning over 12 years in the wedding and event industry. With a diverse background that started with her first 'proper job' at a princess party company, overseeing bookings and entertainment for children's parties nationwide. This quickly evolved into weekends spent earning extra money to support her studies by working for a wedding caterer at the popular wedding venues Northbrook and Froyle Park.
From humble beginnings as a part-time waitress to eventually running entire events, liaising with suppliers, venues, bridal parties and front-of-house teams, Fran’s expertise grew.
Later transitioning into Recruitment & Staffing for major events across the country, such as Royal Ascot, Farnborough Airshow, and Goodwood, provided invaluable insights into event operations on a grand scale. Years to date spent as the Operations Manager at Profiles Personnel, headquartered in Farnham provided Fran with comprehensive understanding of the industry from every angle.
Post lockdown Fran put together a reunion party for friends after the pandemic in the garden and created her first ever picnic display, this mixed with a passion and vast knowledge for weddings and events is where Pretty It Picnics was born.

My current moto is why do suppliers add a zero on the end of their quotes when they hear the word 'Wedding'!? I've been in this industry a long time and yet to tie the knot myself and cost is definitely something I'll be conscious of as a bride. One thing I have learnt is something doesn't have to be hugely expensive to be beautiful and this something I have carried through styling my home and all my events no matter how big or small. I am honest, reliable & have a great eye for creative styling

What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding was actually one of my first when I was only 16 or 17 years old! (A long time ago as my 30th is fast approaching!) Funnily enough posted on my Instagram in 2014 captioned 'this set up is definitely a look I'd go for when I get married' A stunning set up under a outdoor Tipi with wooden rustic features dominant throughout. Timeless, classic, modest, a style and set up i'll never forget.

What about your business are you most proud of?
Bringing peoples vision / dreams to life & turning areas of a venue that originally could be overlooked into a show stopper!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't follow wedding trends too much, your guests will remember your personal touches that reflect your personalities over what looks good and what's 'In' right now.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love it when couples incorporate photos and memories of their journey / relationship into the decoration on tables or welcome entrances. Aside from Wedding's and Events my other passion is travel. One wedding I worked at the couple named the tables after places they have travelled together and incorporated photos of their trip as part of the table decoration.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
🤍 You will be asked to fill out a form with an outline of your requirements such as date, venue and mood board.
🤍We will organise a meeting in person over a coffee or via video call to discuss your styling requirements in more detail. sometimes a more feasible option if distance is involved as couples I have been planning with this year are living in Australia and Qatar but having their weddings in the UK!)
🤍Following the consultation a visual proposal is put together and sent to the couple. To secure your date you will be asked to pay a deposit.
🤍Depending on the size and scope of the event we may organise a pre visit to the venue.
🤍A detailed plan will be put together leading up to the event incorporating every single tiny detail to make your day perfect!
We will arrive the morning of your wedding to set up and will return to collect the items later that evening or the morning after.
What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?
High Tea / Alice and Wonderland themes are always beautiful bringing the outdoors in.
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
Definitely a common theme of natural colours, rustic tones and countryside feel. (Though this is likely due to my more rural location!) It feels couples are also trying a DIY approach in this current climate of everything being so expensive it's time to get creative and upcycle more than ever!
What is your signature finishing touch?
Natural wooden features is what I always tie everything together with!
