What is your most memorable wedding?
A very lovely couple wanted to put our nets in some glass candle holders which they had bought, and then put them in ribboned display boxes. They liked my designs so much, they travelled from Cambridge to Surrey to deliver the candle holders and then to collect the finished product. Needless to say, the end result was stunning!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Pretty, luxurious, stylish, affordable, quality.
What about your business are you most proud of?
The designs are my own ideas. I use the materials available to me for inspiration, rather than other people's work! As I have been making bomboniere for 22 years, there is a great sense of achievement when I get returning customers; I have made their wedding bomboniere and this has led to Christenings, First Communions, Confirmations...
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Try not to leave ordering your favours to the very last minute!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Mostly my brides-to-be (and on a few occasions, the groom-to-be) just place an order for one of the designs they see on our website. These are then hand-made to order and dispatched within 4 weeks of payment. Other brides have certain requirements and then we discuss creating a bespoke wedding favour, either by email or by phone.
What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?
The theme was 'Sorrento', and I modified a design by adding yellow ribbons and flowers to the bomboniere. They were beautiful!
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
Everything goes!
What is your signature finishing touch?
Our bomboniere are packed with great care to ensure they arrive in perfect condition, ready for you to hand out to your guests.
What decoration do you think every wedding needs?
Traditional almond favours, of course!!
