What is your most memorable wedding?
The first wedding we did. It was only chair covers and sashes but it was in a very posh hotel in the Lakes and I was just worried we wouldn't get done in time.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud of actually starting the business up as it is really scary and you have your moment of doubt but then you have to look at how far you have come, learn from your mistakes, and continue to make every wedding perfect. I am super proud and on the end of my seat until I know a bride was happy with her service from us.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Let your guests know what the timetable is for the day. There is nothing worse for your guests to be constantly asking each other, what time are we eating, when are the speeches, what time does the evening event start...... use blackboards, mirrors, any sort of signage you want.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
When you can incorporate something special about the bride or groom, so for example one groom's father had recently died so he used gin bottles for the table plan (his father loved gin) another was special song words in vintage frames that they loved. It can be something obvious or just between you.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I meet with them and go over what they need, what they like and what I can offer. Then I either come up with some ideas or we agree what they want then and there. I am open to meeting them over and over if need be as well has one visit to their venue. It takes as long or as little time as it takes to make both bride and groom to be happy with how there setting will be.
What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?
I hate the word themed, to me its always about your style. I have to admit I love the rustic/vintage look.
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
In Cumbria, we are a little behind the rest of the country. PImp your prosecco is on the up, rusitc is still used lots, as I make bespoke I try to encourage originality and get the bride and groom to start thinking about what the venue offers before coming up with rustic, vintage, glamourous etc
What is your signature finishing touch?
I am pretty much a perfectionist and like to go over eveyrthing two or three times before I leave.
I suppose I have a good eye for detail and tell every bride I do take that little bit extra to a venue when setting up and get them to agree for me to make the final decision on if I think it needs tweaking slightly. Its hards for most brides to tell how it will look on the day and I would HATE leaving something that I thought looked naff.
What decoration do you think every wedding needs?
Every wedding needs a bride and groom to be happy and love the day, so basically have whatever you want for that to happen.
