What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book early and secure your date with a small £60 deposit
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love the personalised touch and will adapt to meet my couples need. We offer something a little different to allow to meet my couples wishes. When a budget is tight I try to meet their wish list. For example if your budget won’t stretch to the sweet cart but wanted sweets but couldn’t stretch to the sweet cart. So I suggested 50p pick and mix sweet bags for their day guests with a personalised sticker on. They were over the moon with them and during set up I placed the bags next to the place cards on every table.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Once an enquire comes in I like to respond with a friendly hello. Chat and get a little idea of what the couple wants. I will organise a consultation. I always say to you to do your biggest wish list for your special day and bring it with you, I will talk through your wish list and show you different venues I have dressed for other couples. I will go away and do you a quote and send via emailI. During this process we can edit it to fit your budget and once you are happy I will ask for a small deposit to to be paid to secure your date.
What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?
The beach themed wedding that I had the pleasure of being part of was truly amazing. I dressed the tables with seaside themed fishbowls, the couple had collected shells from beaches they had visited and ask me to do a sand seaside themed fishbowl using their shells, starfish, pebbles and things they had collected of the beach and arrange them around a candle on the sand. With their theme they had an ice cream bike to welcome their guests and welcome fizz music played by a steel band, then instead of a traditional meal they hired a fish and chip van to serve their guests. Followed by dessert from our doughnut wall, filled with sprinkle iced ring doughnuts (caramel, chocolate, white) an amazing themed wedding.
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
Every couple has an idea of their dream wedding so trends are currently forever changing. Weddings are not just themed on colour now, some times they are based on more of a personalised theme, sometimes based on things the couples have in common or interests, films, and adventures they have shared, making it personal to them. This is something I love and I will try my best to create their dream wedding wherever possible.
