What is your most memorable wedding?
We dressed a village hall. It was awash with chair covers and sashes, bunting was hung everywhere and it was so informal it was great, everyone who was there helped us dress the room and when we had finished, the bride burst into tears as she loved it so much.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Traditional, bespoke, fun, personal, loved
What about your business are you most proud of?
The fact that we have stayed in a very tough industry for 8 years and are still going strong as we built our business from nothing, we also enjoy making personalised touches that sets our brides and grooms weddings apart from their friends weddings.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Hire a good wedding decorator, they will take your vision and make it reality, so you don’t have to worry.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Our personalised crates as they can be used for so many things, from centrepieces to card crates, flip flop boxes to blanket boxes for festival style weddings.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We invite our couples to meet us at our showroom or their venue, where over a coffee, we will discuss their vision and work together to make it happen. We discuss what styles they like and dislike, we play with styles in our showroom and go from there. We are always at the end of the phone or an email.
What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?
We supplied sashes, balloons and of course lots of sweets for a couple who had a willy wonka themed wedding, it looked amazing, they had chocolate fountains and sweets everywhere.
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
Rose gold is huge, you can get loads of things in rose gold to make this trend look great. Vintage is a great look which people adapt in their own way and is a look that has been around a while, but looks set to stay. Gatsby is another trend we do quite a lot too. DIY weddings are also huge, lots of handmade and Homemade things from bunting to centrepieces to favours.
What is your signature finishing touch?
We don’t have one really. All our bows need to be straight, that’s probably our biggest pet hate.
What decoration do you think every wedding needs?
Depends on the venue, if they have grotty chairs then chair covers, if it’s a darker room, lots of lights, any little thing you put into a room makes a big difference.
