What is your most memorable wedding?
As an event coordinator, I’ve had the pleasure of being part of many beautiful weddings, each one unique in its way. But there’s always that one wedding that leaves a lasting impression. Was it the fairytale setting, the unusual theme, or perhaps an unforgettable moment shared by the couple? I'd love to know about the weddings that stand out to you, and I'll gladly share my most memorable experience as well!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
I'd say my style is elegant, personalized, thoughtful, timeless, and innovative. I focus on making each event feel distinctive, with a touch of sophistication and a creative edge that makes it unforgettable.
What about your business are you most proud of?
What I'm most proud of is creating experiences that truly resonate with people. There's nothing like seeing clients' faces light up when they walk into their event, realizing every detail reflects their vision. I also take pride in building genuine relationships with my clients. Many of them stay in touch long after the event, which to me is a sign that I've not only met their expectations but connected with them on a personal level. That trust and those shared moments are what make this work incredibly fulfilling.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Feel most meaningful—whether it’s the venue, the food, the music, or a particular experience for your guests—and invest in those. Let those priorities guide your decisions, especially when balancing your budget. Focusing on what you both genuinely care about will keep the planning process enjoyable and make your wedding feel personal and memorable for everyone involved.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Each note shared a unique memory or heartfelt message, showing the guests how much they were valued and why they were chosen to be part of that day. It was a small gesture, but it left such a powerful impact—many guests were moved to tears before the ceremony even began! It turned the wedding into an intimate, unforgettable experience that celebrated not only the couple's love but also their relationships with everyone there.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My process with a couple is all about collaboration, discovery, and tailored guidance. Here’s a typical approach:
Initial Consultation: We start with a relaxed, open chat to understand their vision, personalities, and must-haves. This is where I get a feel for their style, priorities, and any initial ideas they might have.
Vision & Budget Planning: Once I understand their vision, we work on aligning it with their budget. I help outline a realistic budget breakdown, prioritizing what matters most to them.
Design & Vendor Selection: With a vision and budget in place, I design a cohesive concept for the day, including color palettes, decor ideas, and any unique touches. I then introduce them to a curated list of vendors that match their style and needs, ensuring a seamless team.
Logistics & Timeline: I create a detailed timeline covering every step—from vendor meetings to rehearsal and, of course, the wedding day itself. This ensures we stay on track, so the couple can focus on enjoying the process.
Execution & Coordination: I handle all the details on the wedding day, coordinating vendors, managing timing, and ensuring each detail is as envisioned. My goal is for the couple to be fully present and enjoy every moment, knowing everything is in good hands.
Throughout, I stay in regular contact and am always available to answer questions, provide reassurance, and keep the planning process smooth and enjoyable.
What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?
The best-themed wedding I’ve worked on was a beautiful church wedding. The setting added an air of elegance and tradition, and the couple’s style brought it to life in a way that felt both sacred and intimate. Each detail, from the floral arrangements to the classical music and meaningful rituals, was thoughtfully chosen to enhance the timeless atmosphere. It was an experience that left a lasting impact on everyone in attendance.
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
Current decorative trends with brides lean towards personalized elegance with a touch of minimalism and sustainability. Here are some of the highlights:
Bold Floral Installations: Large, lush floral arrangements, especially in unexpected places like ceilings, doorways, and even hanging over dining tables, are popular. Organic, garden-style blooms are favored for their natural look and vibrant colors.
Sustainable Decor: Many brides are choosing reusable or eco-friendly decor, such as potted plants instead of cut flowers, recycled or vintage items, and sourcing materials locally.
Minimalist Elegance: Clean lines and understated decor elements are in, with brides favoring monochrome palettes, metallic accents, and simple yet sophisticated details like tall taper candles, transparent vases, and elegant table linens.
Statement Lighting: Creative lighting, like string lights, Edison bulbs, chandeliers, and even neon signs, is being used to add ambiance and create a warm, inviting glow.
Unique Table Settings: Personalized, curated table settings with custom menus, name cards, and mixed glassware or ceramics add character and make each guest feel special.
Textured Details: Velvet, silk, and other luxurious textures are trending in linens, table runners, and even seating, bringing a cozy and opulent feel.
Interactive Guest Experiences: Brides are creating interactive decor elements like photo walls, DIY cocktail stations, and personalized guest books to make the event more engaging.
These trends reflect a move towards making each wedding feel distinct, intimate, and reflective of the couple’s style and values.
What is your signature finishing touch?
My signature finishing touch is a customized keepsake for the couple that ties into their theme or story. Whether it’s a beautifully framed print of their wedding vows, a small journal filled with guests’ well-wishes, or a curated box of mementos from the day, I love giving them something tangible to remember the day by. This personal touch not only reflects the care that went into planning but also provides a lasting memory they can cherish for years. It’s the final, heartfelt detail that completes their celebration.
What decoration do you think every wedding needs?
I believe every wedding needs a thoughtfully designed focal point that reflects the couple's style—whether it’s a floral arch, a backdrop, or a beautifully styled entryway. This piece not only enhances the visual appeal of the venue but also serves as a memorable spot for photos, creating a lasting impression for the couple and guests. A focal point, especially one tied to the couple's story, becomes an anchor for the event’s decor and adds a touch of timeless elegance to any wedding.
