Based in East Sussex, The Secret Restaurant has earned a stellar reputation for delivering exceptional wedding catering across Sussex, Surrey, London, and the South East. They specialize in crafting innovative and creative culinary experiences designed to be a standout part of your special day. Whether your wedding is indoors or outdoors, summer or winter, their flexible approach ensures your menu perfectly matches your unique vision.
Every couple is unique, and your wedding menu should be too. The Secret Restaurant works closely with you to bring your ideas to life—whether that’s a refined multi-course dinner in a grand country house, a laid-back BBQ in a woodland setting, or elegant canapés to kick off the celebration. From slow-cooked smoky ribs to beautifully plated gourmet dishes, every bite is crafted to delight your guests.
Since 2006, The Secret Restaurant has been a fully independent caterer with a team of professional chefs trained in fine dining and an expert event management crew. They make planning your wedding catering smooth and enjoyable. While not tied to any one venue, they are the preferred caterer at exclusive locations such as Brighton Dome & Pavilion Estate, Brookfield Barn, and Florence House. Whether your celebration is in a marquee, barn, or even your own home, they adapt seamlessly. They can also assist with extras like marquee hire and fireworks. Couples consistently praise them for delivering the “best wedding food ever” and for their attentive, friendly team that goes the extra mile to make your day perfect.
The most memorable wedding are always the ones where the bride and groom really get involved. The one in the back garden where the bride had folded 1000 origami cranes and the groom hung them all from the ceiling of the marquee - I even remember the grapefruit gin and yuzu cocktail they invented for the day and the Kar age burgers for late night snacks with their silent disco!
Rustic, relaxed, fun, current, flavoursome!
Our fabulous staff and their approach to food and service - what a team!
Relax, enjoy yourselves - get into it and don't let one person bear the whole burden!

We meet the couple once we have worked out an initial quote. We try to do the tasting at this meeting and then talk through the whole day, creating a function sheet and fine tuning the menu. We might then need to do a site visit if the venue is not known to us. Beyond that we are there to answer any questions at any time and will lead the couple through the process until the day.
Any of our chefs would wow the master chef judges!
That would be our secret...
Music, I think? haha, for me, freshly BBQ'd fresh fish on a hot sunny day with char grilled asapargus in the company of all my friends and family
